swifty liberte folding electric bike not working. Display comes on lights flicker and goes off. Would it be a fault sent to the display from the controller? or maybe display failure, faulty.
any help appreciated

Many thanks

Have you checked all the plug/socket connections ? one might have worked its way out.

Incidentally, you've put this is "Trade promotions&offers" ,rather than a general discussion section. Maybe want to post it in the proper bit. Might get replies.

Error 10 is probably a Data receiving errror code so incompatible.

Looks like a cheap amazon type/catologue eapc that uses crappy speed control , buying individual parts is likely not going to happen as incompatibility comes into play.
The owner needs to bite the bullet and fork out approx.£80 to buy a new KT contorl kit that will transform the ride.

error 10 Usually controller, just making up connections to fit new controller
Yes Data receiving between controller and display , it's two way thing.

I have recently done the same for a a cheap non working catologue/ argos /amazon type bike , the guy replaced the display which may ahve been incompatible then he messed up and blew the controller mosfets so wasted money. For what he paid I paid again and fitted a Kt system .
He is ove the moon as the ride is far better and much more intuitive, instant PAS action and quicker stop time from the PAS, to boot I wired up his brake cutoffs so they work properly.

If you just want to get going, your bike will probably work without the display if you bridge two wires of the 4 or 5 that go to the display. One wire (normally red) has battery voltage, another (often blue) sends the battery voltage back to the controller to power it when you switch on the display. With those two wires joined, the throttle should work if you have one, and you should get fixed level 1 pedal assist.

Yes ideal to test to get working but why settle for limited bike use and poor rider experience.

It’s for a client so it looks like a new controller Have placed one on order
but can never find one with correct matching connections
