Hi all, recently bought my wife a Wisper e-bike so I'm considering making the move myself as my knees aren't getting any younger! In biking lingo, I'm more of a "grinder" than a "spinner" so speed isn't an issue as I'm more likely to take a bike shopping than racing, but from past experience me and my shopping tend to weigh about the same as the maximum advised load on my wife's e-bike(!) so what should I be looking for? I already have two long tail bikes with plenty of room behind the seat post for a battery pack, so maybe even a conversion is in order?

In general spinning will be kinder to the knees put less pressure on the joints.
For your bikes show a couple of pics but usually adding a kit should pose little problems.

Hi welcome
I would agree with a higher cadence being kinder on the knees
