Tongsheng TSDZ2 Thumb throttle - not working

I purchased a thumb throttle after buying the kit without brakes or throttle, thinking it would be plug and play. I have plugged it in to the middle socket on the VLCD5 display, but it doesn't work. Is there something else I have to do in the settings?

The kit comes with two versions on has a six wire loom the other 8 wires for the throttle ,and the displays have to be the correct voltage 48v will not work with 36v
