Thanks, there are some interesting bikes. Some of the Panasonic powered Ortler bikes look very similar to Kalkhoff models, particularly the Agattu 8 speed. Are Ortler produced by Derby Cycles? The Bosch bikes look interesting too and seem to be reasonably priced.

Where is Bikester based?

Ortler appear to be an independent German manufacturer. One giveaway is the front brake position. The Agattu models with the Panasonic unit have a rear-of-fork front brake on all but the smallest frame size 26" wheel models. The Ortlers have 28" wheels with a front mounted brake, that only being common to Kalkhoff's Impulse drive unit and Pro Connect models.

Greeting and best new year wishes for 2012, with regards to bikersters 50% discount be careful what you buy as it might be old stock and some suppliers might be vary of offering support for product bought from a non UK based retailer.

that old chesnut...seeing that hardly any of the bikes listed are available in the UK its slightly academic. Any way we are still in what is supposed to be an open border, European marketplace, just as well really as we seem to manufacturer nothing of interest anyway....
