Valuing second hand bikes ,

hi all I have budget £1200 max for a bike how do you value used bikes ? Age? Miles? Assume each year battery gets weaker is there a formula ?

A long time ago I devised a formula that has been followed by many since. It splits away the battery to be dealt with separately since a battery life is much shorter than the bike life but the battery is very large part of the bike price and expensive to replace.
