Yose 36v 350w running at 48v on a KT controller

Bought and fitted a KT LCD3 / T09s controller to my Yose 36v 350w powered bike.
Previously running a crap Lishui unit.
Whilst the combo works great on a fully charged 36v battery. A fully charged 48v battery shows 54.8v, and the controller will not turn on.

Is 54.8v outside the working parameters?

Also when coming to a complete stop the speedo takes a few seconds to do the same. It runs on. Which setting governs that?

54.8v might be just calibration error of the meter, it shouldn't be an issue. But just in case drain the battery by 0.5v and see if everything works ok.

Checked directly on the terminals, with two multimeters. A calibrated Fluke and a cheap and cheerful Lidls special. Both show the same. Also the blue tooth BMS indicates similar.
So it looks like 54.8v is too high a starting voltage for the KT to handle?

Will stick it on my BBSHD bike to drop the voltage down a few volts.
I have similar issue with my TSDZ2, it will not start with the battery fully charged, needs a starting voltage of sub 52v.... pants!

KT controllers have a memory of some sort. If you already ran it with a 36v battery, it probably still thinks you have one. Try disconnecting the battery and short out the connector on the controller side to discharge the capacitors, then, if that doesn't do it, reset the LCD to factory settings.

Thanks VFR, I was going to try a C10 reset if reducing the voltage (doing a couple of miles connected to my BBSHD) if it does not wake the controller up.
From your extensive experience, should the LCD3 / T09s combo work without issue at 54.9v ?

Tried both of the above.
Discharged capacitors.... No go!
C10 Reset.... No Go!

Burnt off some of the voltage on the fully charged EM3EV 48v pack, from 54.9v down to 49v (Used it on my BBSHD bike for 5 miles), and all working.
So looks like the KT is fussy on voltage.

Ideas?

There is a L1 setting after the C settings that locks the controller LVC. I think its normally set to 0 for auto but can be set L1= 1 for 24v, L1=2 for 36v, L1= 3 for 48v . Any possibility this is wrong?

How do you get into the L settings?

you hold down the 'arrrow up' and 'arrow down' buttons together for about 7 seconds or more after going through the p and c settings, you get into the 'L' setting menu.

Tried that without success. Must be a different F/W revision?
Charged the battery to 85%. Kept a check on the bluetooth BMS. 85% gives a starting voltage of 52v.
Plugged it in and works no issues!

54.8v is good for a fully charged 48v battery buddy. My 48v system shows 54.8v when it’s fully charged.
Agree.... Unfortunately the KT / LCD3 combo will not work above 52v. Hence only charging to 85% of capacity.

You just got to go with whatever works. 54.8v is no good if it won’t get you off the mark! 52v is the man all day long! Lol
Very strange that one MontyPas, never had an issue with KT's at 13s fully charged at 54.6v.
