This is the direct result of Chinese government subsidies policy. The car company gets as much as 17,000 dollars for each vehicle exported, so they knock them out without sufficient safety in design, assembly and manufacturing. On one video, a mechanic demonstrated that he can push with one finger on the hood to cause the hood to collapse. On another video, a woman was seen holding the door handle that just came off when she tried to open the door.

And BYD are likely to be the most guilty. Risk takers like Tesla, they were the first Chinese company to enter the e-car market , starting with a hybrid that was a blatant rip off on the Chevrolet Volt. That suffered many early problems as did some following fully battery models, but over time they learnt well and quickly and became a leader in the very large Chinese e-bus market and now also a major exporter of e-buses, including successful complete e-bus chassis to us for addition of the bodies here.

In the process they have become a leading e-vehicle battery maker, manufacturing them on a large scale for many other e-car companies, including Tesla for all their Chinese production.

the council just replied to my foi and said they do not monitor how much money they make from there solar panels.

only 4 inverters has been replaced in 10 years when there service life was 5 years and can prove it.

and if you have a problem it is up to you to report it and get it sorted.

it is all bs and never put a name on it either as want no accountability incase someones house burns down from a faulty 3kw inverter

It will never happen, we've been through all this before, well over seventy years ago and probably before your time.

Then back in the 1950s we were told that automation would rob us of all our jobs so similar would happen. The opposite has happened, we haven't enough people to do all the jobs and have to rely on immigration from backward countries.

Like automated car driving, in 2018 we were being told in this forum that by 2020 no Tesla would have driver controls. Once again it's the opposite, Tesla were forced to admit their self driver system is level 2 only, driver assist, not level 5 fully automated.

As Robert Burns wrote in 1785, “The best laid plans of mice and men often go awry”.

He was only partly right, they always go awry.

automation since the 50s has reduced (directly or indirectly via cheap imports) a number of us to rely on state welfare.

That avoids the real position that I stated, too many jobs for the people available to do them. So many jobs in fact that many people are doing two or more jobs to survive yet still there's a surplus of jobs.
