It finally happened - lifeless Puma

I've been meaning to get round to posting for sometime, but the little Powacycle motor has become lifeless. It happened with serious pedalling up a very steep hill, the motor just gave up and no power since. The battery is still strong, and the motor seems very notchy when wheeled...

    Thanks Russell

Hello all, I was thinking about one of these as a project Is the motor on the Roadstar brush type or brushless? Is there a separate controller for distributing power from the battery? (or just two wires into the motor..assuming brushed type) Thanks

    powacycle salisbury battery connector pins

Thanks for the pic, it's very different to the one I thought it was. Powacycle, they are worse than Nokia for changing connectors. My other Powacycle just has a 4 pin connection, top two pins for battery output, bottom two pins for the charger. I prefer this type of connection as it's less...

    powacycle salisbury battery connector pins

IIRC the bottom pins are spring loaded, retracting slightly when the weight of the battery rests directly on to them. I have a spare set which I took off a Powacycle Cambridge, includes the mounting bracket. Do you have you a pic of these just to make sure they are the same? Send me a PM...

    Hannibal Lecter masks and anti-pollution

Does anyone use anti pollution masks? How much condensation is there inside the mask? Apart from the scarf type ones, do they all look like Hannibal Lecter masks? Google Image Result for http://www.solarnavigator.net/images/anthony_hopkins_hannibal_lecter.jpg

Northern Ireland Helmet Law DON'T CONFUSE ME WITH FACTS

Interesting, but as already pointed out by others: Difference in speed/power and culture/crowding In NI population is 1.6million, that's the same as a large city eg Birmingham Less than 2% of RTA's involved cyclists. NI allegedly had £1m ring fenced for cycle routes and cycle...

traffic cop from the village people? :p Expensive, personally I'd go for a Bell helmet, fraction of the cost and instant kudos with skaters. Not sure if those brass eyelets will provide enough ventilation, for that money I'd expect some sort of air scoop/vent which can be opened and closed...

Northern Ireland Helmet Law DON'T CONFUSE ME WITH FACTS

IRRC the levy is for the flimsy type bags. I believe ASDA did a study on the convenience of disposbale carrier bags, they actually found that custom was lost when the bag for life schemes were introduced circa 18months ago. I believe they have demonised plastic bags, without taking into...
