Connecting battery to controller - wire too short

What sort of connector is in the picture? Doesn't look anything like an xt90.

Connecting battery to controller - wire too short

Following a recent problem with my torque sensor (Woosh crank kit) I'm moving over to the bottom bracket torque sensor. The controller in the Woosh kit is intended to go in a seat pack behind the saddle but the cable to the battery is only about three inches long. All other cables reach to their...

    Is my battery goosed?

Posting in the Woosh clinic as it's a Woosh kit. 17AH 36V downtube battery, XF07 front hub motor, torque sensor/controller in crank and KD58C display. Where would I begin to look for the cause of the short, and can the battery and its holder be repaired? I don't want to sink £300 on a new...

    Is my battery goosed?

Above post amended as I evidently misread the multimeter, it's 41.2 volts. I only recently changed the multimeter battery and other things around the house are reading fine. I have no idea what could have happened as the bike has been untouched and in storage for the past few weeks and was...

    Is my battery goosed?

I hadn't used my bike for the past five weeks for various reasons. When I came to turn it on the other day nothing happened - no lights on the battery, nothing on the LCD display. I tried charging it (battery in bike) but the charger was constantly showing green. I swapped displays over to my...

LCD on, but no power from motor

Yes it does. And an Error 30 message is showing on the display (KD58C). I have swapped the display over as I have an identical one on another bike and the error message persists.

LCD on, but no power from motor

Thanks but no difference - it is in as far as it can go. And I checked the power settings on the LCD control just in case someone had been tempted to fiddle with them though can't see how anyone could have done - each level of power has an incremental increase.

LCD on, but no power from motor

Bike is a Woosh Santana, rear wheel motor, modified (by supplier at purpose) to have a torque sensor rather than cadence. As the rear rim had worn I recently had the rear wheel rebuilt with a new rim, transferring the motor into it. Everything worked fine for the first trip out of a few miles...

    Santana 3 just stopped working

What an intriguing idea. Doesn't make any sense to me as I never remove the battery from the rack (well maybe once, to take the photos above when I opened up the control box). I gingerly stuck the pins of my multimeter into the two holes of the battery and measured 39.6V (I had charged it only...

    Santana 3 just stopped working

This is about as far as I'm confident in taking the bike to pieces, but all the cables appear to be plugged in within the box, as well as the external cables.

    Santana 3 just stopped working

Thank you Tony, well remembered and it's been a pleasure to ride until now. If the controller box is what the battery fits into I can open that up and have a look inside. But I don't have the tools to swap the crankshaft over and would have to take both our bikes into a bikeshop some way away to...

    Santana 3 just stopped working

My wife's Santana 3 suddently and without any warning cut out the other day on the way to work. The display went dead, not even a backlight, and the motor stopped supplying power. She had to cycle home unassisted. It has been very successful and came with one factory mod - we requested Woosh to...

    KD58C display died

My Woosh conversion kit suffered a setback today. When I turned on the KD58C display only the backlight came on (ie completely bright white) and no LCD text. Bike battery was on nearly full charge after only a short ride since its last charge. I pressed the + button a couple of times to try...

    Santana struggling up hills

Hi, wondering why an ebike might feel like it's struggling to go up hills? I have a two year old Santana3, modified (on my request by Woosh) to have a torque sensor. It's been brilliant but for one thing that has become more noticeable recently. It feels like it's dragging when going up hill. I...

A future way to charge your e-bike

Went camping once and mobile phone battery died in the evening. So plugged it into the ciggies lighter charger socket of the car and left key in ignition in the "half on" position so the charger would remain powered. Being a remote location I didn't expect the car would move overnight. It...
