    More Pedelec Journeys..

Lemmy, You need an airzound horn on that bike and learn how to use it. I think you must be more polite than I am or were you keeping a lid on it because the cameras were rolling? Steve

    What do you wear?

The reason I wear lycra while riding to work is that it is a 20km ride and I need to do it in about an hour as I start work at 6am. I really do not want to be getting out of bed any earlier. I am just waiting for the enduro to arrive now. Steve

    Thoughts on luggage

I remember I have just remembered that I was looking for some hard lockable pannier boxes for my street bike but could not find any at a price I was willing to pay. Theyall seemed a bit pricey. My local DIY store was having a sale and I bought 2 plastic toolboxes and made my own for a...

    Gone for the Bighit

I have just ordered the Enduro and it should be on the way to Denmark now. Phil has a slight problem tracking it but I am sure it will arrive in the next few days. I am really looking forward to it. Steve

    What do you wear?

I have tried riding naked in the past. Parts of my anatomy were being impeded by the crank and spokes. Do you really expect me to try again with an electric motor thrown in as well? ;Ø) Steve

    GPS Tracker inside a battery?

Morphix. I think putting labels on a bike would only alert thieves to the fact that they had to find the device and get rid of it. If it was built into the battery then they would have to get rid of that. A bit of a pointless exercise stealing an electric bike if you have to dump the power...

    GPS Tracker inside a battery?

Rear light tracker The link for my tracker is in the first post. I also found this link. A tracker within a rear light. I have not looked at this yet but my initial thought is how to stop the light from being stolen in the first place. GPS Bicycle Tracker Steve

    What do you wear?

A Being new to electric bikes I just wanted to know what people wear when riding. Currently, I ride a road bike and a Bacchetta recumbent bike and am a member of the lycra brigade. It is functional and dries fast. I want to get away from that with my electric bike. I will most probably be...

    GPS Tracker inside a battery?

I have a mini GPS tracker which I use on my motorbike. Mini Global GPS Tracker It sits in a matchbox, inside a bag, inside my hard panniers. It is powered by a small battery which is charged up from the mains or the computer. The charge lasts about 12 hours which is a pain but it does come...

    Looking to buy

Look at all the bikes Hi Barrie, I am new to all this as well. I have just ordered a Torano Enduro which has the option to pedal, or not depending how you feel at the time. I have done lots of review reading and have not read a bad review of the Torano bikes yet. You will see we have...

    Thoughts on luggage

I use Ortileb panniers but my electric bike has not arrived yet and so I do not know how they will fit. Ortileb panniers are top class bags and my gear always stays dry. The problem with plastic boxes is that I have found they make a lot of noise. Steve

    Cycle Routes

Here is the Garmin Edge 305. Garmin Edge 305 cycling GPS system review There are newer versions like Garmin 800 and they are expensive. The 305 still gets good reviews. You do not need heart monitors or cadence doo dahs, they all add to the price. You need to do your own search for the Garmin...

    Cycle Routes

I think if you Google for cycle routes you will get lots of sites where other riders download their bike routes. By far the best way I have found is by using my Garmin Edge 305 cycle computer. Not only can I download other peoples routes from all over the world, I can download routes I have...

    Bighit modding

Not to be a killjoy. Because I feel the need for speed as well. That is why I have a Bacchetta Giro 26 to go down hills :) Going faster and faster is all well and good but you also have to be careful of wheels and spokes. They were designed to do a certain job and the more hammering you give...

    Electronic rear view mirror?

Good idea Of course it is Alistair. That is part of the fun. I have a Garmin Edge on the bike and a TomTom on the motorbike. They can both be difficult to see in bright sunlight but a tilt of the head normally sorts that problem out. The issue with a camera on the back of the bike...

Tonaro Compy climbs 1 in 4.

Great report Flecc, I have just read your reports on your bike and it was a job well done. You cannot get any more detailed than that. But you are riding all over the Downs and we don`t get one photo of them. As an ex-pat it is nice to see photos of the homeland. Of course visiting the...

    What about re-gutting batteries ?

Talking to my motorcycle friend over a glass of wine last night. He expressed his concern over the price of a 36V el bike battery and asked why we could not use 3x 12v motorcycle batteries at a fraction of the cost. I am new to all this and did not know the answer. Can someone tell me please...

Tonaro Compy climbs 1 in 4.

I have just ordered the Tonaro Enduro and it is winging its way to Denmark as I type this. Well that is unless the ash cloud is holding up it`s progress. I have not read any reviews of the Enduro but it is lighter than the Bighit and has exactly the same power plant. I have yet to read a bad...
