    My daily "commute"

Thanks for posting this it is a good learning curve. You need to angle the camera up more so it is more horizontal and we see less road and more sky, if you know what I mean. I know it is not easy with a helmet mounted camera. What camera are you using and what editing suite is it? I want to...

    Stopped by police

I think a cycle under road traffic law is considered to be a vehicle and the "driver" has the same responsibilities as any other driver and so you are obliged to signal. BUT there is is another clause somewhere which suggests that some articles in the highway code which are not law per se but...

    electric Bike Pusher

The best recumbent trikes anywhere are made by ICE Trikes in Cornwall. It is a small company run by a trike mad workforce. I sold mine to by a recumbent bike.............we all make BIG mistakes don`t we? If they have not got it they can find it but I would ask them to build it as their work...

    Purchase advice please

Polar, where are you located? That may help narrow the field down. I am not sure what type of off road riding you are talking about. We spend most of our time on forest and farm tracks and have no problems with our Tonaros. I have an Enduro and Jannie has a Compy. They are fine in the wet...

    Stopped by police

You are totally correct in your assumption Mike "They are also cyclists themselves". That is where the huge difference is between the UK, Denmark, Belgium and Holland. More households in Denmark have bikes than cars and there is a large percentage that do not have cars at all. When it comes...

    Stopped by police

As an ex police officer...a long time ago...but PACE did exist. He did not need to accept the ticket he could have elected to be dealt with by summons. To be dealt with by summons he MUST provide a name and address that the police officer can verify. If he refuses to provide those details he...

    Tonaro battery range

Hi Lynda, Jannie and I went out a couple of weekends ago and did 55km, mostly on country tracks. I was on my Enduro and Jannie was on her Compy. After the 55kms we both had 3 lights out of 5 left. We never use the throttle as it eats you battery power. We switch off a lot on the flats and...

    Stopped by police

I am in Denmark and whether we are on a cycle path or on a road we have the right of way as cyclists. Having said that I have found that discretion is the better part of valour. But on the whole we are kings of the road. If I ride down a cycle path , cars coming out of side roads or turning...

    Lights (again, sorry)

I use a SMART light, similar to the smart light shown in the thread. It is excellent, especially on flashing mode. At £13.99 that Smart light is an excellent buy. Steve

    Lights (again, sorry)

I use the Hope Vision 1 and live way out in the countryside in Denmark where we do not have light pollution. At 5am when I go to work it is black, black, extremely black. I ride along unli country lanes and tracks and the Hope Vision 1 is excellent. It has a great beam and is very tough. It...

First outing on a new oygen stylee-mate citye-mate very disappointed

Sorry to hear about this but stick with it and it will be sorted. I live in Denmark and bought 2 Tonaro bikes from the UK. We had problems with both of them but before airing my problems on here I went directly to the supplier first. Phil at Powerpedals was superb and sent the things to fix...

    Video with slow speed crash

The spill is at 10min 30 sec. I did a similar thing this morning riding across the grass and sand near the beach. I hit a very soft piece of sand with the front wheel and down I went at about 2mph. Luckily I was not seen and so my credibility was kept intact. Good to see you escaped in the...

    Keep your bum warm lol

The people who bought them seem to like them. I assume the pad would go under a seat cover as I think the seat vinyl would be to thick to feel the heat. I have several friends who have heated handlebars and handguards on their motorbikes and say they are great. Lets hope someone picks up that...

    M5 Crash

There is nothing wrong with increasing the speed limit. I live on the Danish/German border and regularly drive in Germany where the speed limit is much higher. To me it feels much safer in Germany than in the UK. The M5 crash will end up being caused by drivers driving too fast for the road...

    puncture strategy?

I use Marathon plus on all my bikes and have never had a puncture. Most of my riding is on farm tracks and wood tracks. I do carry a repair kit mainly because it goes in my tool kit which is in my Ortileb pannier. I must just be lucky....and I wish I had never said that now. Steve

Lets Discuss an Ebike friendly sticker campaign........

WOW what an excellent way to derail a thread.......You could have sent a PM and asked this question Morphix, it was hardlings a "Slightly different topic was it"? To get back to the original subject which seems to have stalled. I like both the green logos and think the word BIKE should be...
