It is a good idea to get a national chain involved but I'm not sure a petrol station is a place a cyclist would hang around in while their battery charges. Now: Starbucks, Costa coffee and Little chef type places might be a place to wait for an hour while you top up a battery.

Kudos has 3 folding ebikes, some with suspension. I've never tried a folder but they are worth having a look at.

I think he's good at it as well. He speaks clearly and doesn't go mad when doing things or talking about it.

Falkirk is a couple of hundred feet bellow me and I can indeed go down there and cycle all the way to Edinburgh along the towpath. I prefer to live and play up here in the hills though, hence the electric bike. It also means I'll never get flooded out like parts of Britain have been suffering...

Is that going to be your new advertising campaign? Our bikes have a left hand throttle to keep your gun hand free. Of course, as soon as you do that the left handed lot will be complaining. :)

As I said in the other thread, my Kudos Tourer does just that. As long as I'm turning the pedals the motor will give full power. I can set the amount of power I want by using the 5 positions on my LCD display. I have tried to see how slowly I can pedal before the motor cuts out but I ended up...

A lot of us, me included, will come on and moan about the throttle issue but don't worry, I think we all appreciate the effort your putting in. Keep up the good work.

Fitting a throttle where you still need to turn the pedals would be pointless on my bike since as long as you turn the pedals, even very slowly, brings my motor in at full power anyway. Only bikes with torque sensors need a throttle if you still need to turn the pedals.

They don't need a standard, they just need to make the bike, stick it on a set of scales and tell us the truth about the weight.
