I saw an advert in a cycling magainze recently. It was for some kind of rack that bolts to the shed in a way that a theif would have to cut half the shed away to get the bike off. I think there was also some form of insurance with it too by the manufacturer. I'll try and find it.

Gale force wind, driving rain and a big smile! The ride home from work this afternoon has made me really glad i bought an electric bike. I passed many miserable looking people on normal bikes struggling to ride into the wind.
Just found out my waterproof jacket isn't waterproof though, more...
thanks Flecc. What would be the best indication when the battery needs to be replaced. Does it manifest in a greatly reduced range or does the battery take longer and longer to charge? Does it vary by battery type.
thanks

At the rate I am going, I/m worried that I'll need to swap over to a new battery in twelve months time. When this happens can I get my batterty refurbished or I have to bin in and get a new one?
thanks

I noticed a bit of judder on my bike over the weekend (in betqween the rain and the wind!) so therefore I tightened the head set yesterday and now it is barely noticeable.
How often do I need to do this ?
thanks

I have used overshoes in the past and they worked very well. Just make sure your waterproof trousers are long enough so the water doesn't drip down the inside.

Has anyone here got any experience with adding a second motor to their bike? I found this chap selling a bike on ebay tha has two motors fitted!

Hey, that's pretty cool!
I don't think it takes elevation into consideration though when it calculates the distance, according to the forum anyway. Even so, it is very usefu.l

These bikes look quite good for the money. Has anyone else watched the YouTube video? The motor seems quite noisey but it seems to be zippy.

Yeah, 15 mph seems so slow now! I've tried riding it at this speed a few times but it's just not satisfying so it's time to open the throttle :)

Thanks Flecc.
It says that it is possible to keep the bike at the end of the load period by purcashing the bike at market value. How on earth do you establish that for an electric bike !
thanks
Jed
Even better if the topside of the battery had a solar panel which could top up the battery when not in use, but i'm probably just dreaming

I think by the time I reach 68 or whatever the current age is, they'll have moved the goalposts again or scrapped it entirely. Someone's got to pay for all those government pensiions ;)

I haven't really given the exact specification too much thought. I would've liked something the wife could ride but as the existing bike already has a men's frame I'm kinda limted there. I already have the Torq but that is too big for her.
So I guess this is another bike for me :) . As the...
Since getting my electric bike, I've now decided I need another one! (wife doesn't agree, yet ;)) This time though, I feel like adding a kit to an existing bike (Ridgeback Velocity). What would people on here recommend as a good kit?
thanks
