    Help! Help & Suggestions Please

Do you use hook-up, or have solar on your van? Those chargers are fine if you're driving extended distances where the alternator is effectively charging the e-bike battery, but static, charging your e-bike, they'll suck 50%+ of the energy from a typical 100Ah battery. Generally speaking...

I only used the example of my own folding Fiido D11 in post #12 to illustrate that e-bikes with full throttles are available, even if not legal. I considered the Rambletta and Stow-E-Way (among others) when I looked to buy my own folding e-bike, but chose the Fiido D11 over all others because...

    Help! Help & Suggestions Please

Lots of e-bikes - especially Far Eastern imports - have throttles already fitted, or can have one easily added. It's how it's been implemented that makes it legal or illegal: What you seem to be looking for is a bike with a throttle that can apply full assist/power from a standing start without...

E + Plus Commute ebike - UK Distributor?

I've seen that bike with both rear-rack mount batteries and frog-type seat-post mounted. Either type is available on ebay/Ali or often YosePower or PSWpower as the cheapest replacement options - some suppliers holding stock either in Europe or UK. Very few importers of these sub-£1000 e-bikes...

The Raleigh Stow-e-Way seems to be well liked by Motorhome owners (Raleigh always exhibit it at the huge Annual NEC Camping and Caravan Show). The same bike also sells at Halfords as the Raleigh Evo. It's better built and equipped (and more expensive) for sure, but with your mobility issues...

    Help! Help & Suggestions Please

As with all bikes, it depends what you want to use it for... quick sprints from the campsite to the shops to get the milk is one thing, anticipating a days ride out over the hills and across the valleys is a different proposition. I don't see anything inherently bad about the Basis Osprey...

    Help! Replacement DP CO7.CAN wanted.

You're lucky to have bought two bikes where you can easily swap-out components to fault find, otherwise you'd be scratching your head! For clarity, the display is the stuff on the handlebars - buttons and screen - which communicates with the controller. The controller is a separate logic board...

My thinking was that Woosh already use the DPC07 display on their own Rambla bike here. Knowing how helpful Woosh always are, they may have access to or a source for spares for their own warranty replacement? There's a thread here on the forum where BEB swapped out a DPC07 for one of their own...

    Help! Replacement DP CO7.CAN wanted.

The part you need is a really common part used across a number of e-bike manufacturers - it's not obscure, particularly difficult to obtain, or exclusive to Eskute. As far as I can see, your Eskutes use the DPC07 CAN display with the Bafang M200 motor. One of my own bikes uses the identical...

    Help! Replacement DP CO7.CAN wanted.

As I understand it, what the law actually requires is that, after 6 months, the onus of proof is on YOU to prove that any faults are not caused by misuse or fair wear and tear, or there's a recognised common fault with that product/model. That's difficult to prove, and often requires an expert...

    Help! Replacement DP CO7.CAN wanted.

BAFANG has created the following warranty. Warranty: This warranty is offered only for the initial buyer or the designated brand in Europe, North America, Japan, Hong Kong, Macao and mainland China. Customers in other regions should contact their BAFANG representatives for information or...

    Help! Replacement DP CO7.CAN wanted.

It's a standard Bafang part. Any dealer supplying BBSxx mid-drives should be able to get one. As Neal says, the part suggests it's CANbus rather than UART comms, so make sure you order the correct one.

What to do when your mid drive bike give up the ghost

I recall watching a video somewhere (likely YT) where IIRC after an existing motor failed, the owner ground the old motor mounting bracket off their frame and welded on a Bafang one (Bafang make and supply a couple of different brackets depending upon which of their motors you're looking to...

    Ebike battery renewal

I can't find anything either, not even European sources I've used before. I see the manufacturer SEGL also make the in-frame batteries for the Evans Pinnacle hybrid a couple of other members here own... so they could have trouble too.

    Ebike battery renewal

A quick Google search of your bike lists several resellers - both online and brick'n'mortar stores. Go Outdoors as one example have bike workshops in all their stores. Surely they can help? Otherwise you'd be best to post photos of the battery, including the labels and connectors, so that...

Throttle sticks open on full, flick of throttle stops it...

It is perfectly possible. It's how Fiido program it on their D11 thumb throttle and I do occasionally use it. It appears not to be the OP's issue though.

    Power Station

It depends how you intend to use it. In many cases (as already stated) a second bike battery is cheaper and more useful. However, I have a Bluetti EB70 - 716Wh, USB and 12v outputs, 1000w inverter plus 2 x 100w solar panels in my van, which I use for touring with my e-bike. 716Wh will fully...

    Brake cable

What I noticed when fitting (cable operated hydraulic caliper) XB-100's to one of my own e-bikes is that the angle of cable entry into the actual brake caliper is quite a bit different (sharper bend) than the mechanical brakes they replaced. On that e-bike with a relaxed cable run up to the...

Throttle sticks open on full, flick of throttle stops it...

No. It's just how Fiido chose to implement it and IMHO it works really well. In normal Pedal Assist riding throttle use is only in short bursts here and there; you consciously need to hold the throttle at a given speed for the Cruise to engage. The bike is a normal 250w/15.5 mph geared hub...

Throttle sticks open on full, flick of throttle stops it...

My Fiido has a thumb throttle that does this (deliberately)... it's in the controller programming: Whenever the throttle is held in any position for a constant 8 seconds it enters "cruise mode" at that speed. Blipping the throttle or the brakes (wired with motor cut-outs) cancels it.
