    Demo of locked bike theft

Recently couldn't unlock the cheap padlock cable on the bike ~ it looked like someone had squirted something in the lock. Went into ASDA and bought a junior hacksaw for £1.25 and cut it off in 5 min in front of the shop and the security guy ~ no one did or said anything. Moral don't buy a...

Has Theresa May created a monster?

I agree flecc, at least the Russian system is unambiguous although I can imagine cases where the refusal of the Russians to prosecute a crime committed abroad might not be appreciated. I am thinking of the case of the dissident who was killed in london for example. What I think is wrong in...

    Foot Pump

Well, it had sentimental value until I saw the price :( I'll just have to try and find a piece of leather and make a new washer ~ unfortunately I only wear trainers / shoes with rubber soles.

    Foot Pump

I have an old brass foot pump which no longer works as the washer is knackered. The pump has a barrel with a bore of 2.75 inch; any suggestions as to where I might be able to get a new washer ~ I assume there must be some vintage site which does them.

    Electric cars 'pose environmental threat'

I agree, but the definition of a shortage is that there will be a significant increase in cost as it becomes more expensive to mine.

    Electric cars 'pose environmental threat'

A bigger and more immanent problem will be the shortage of rare earth metals.

    Some right chancers on ebay!

I have an email from September 2004 when they handed out the the V5s when i queried them about a couple of 'basket cases' I had and was told I didn't need to do any thing about them until their taxe/SORN status changed.

    Some right chancers on ebay!

If you have a vehicle that was off the road and untaxed at the time SORN was introduced there was no need to register as SORN.

    Some right chancers on ebay!

Joking aside, would an easy route to a legal high power ebike to take an autocycle and just change the motor over, keeping the old registration. ?

    London to Brighton Charity ride

I was under the impression that electric bikes were't allowed. Mind you never got over the shock when I found that you had to register (£30) to take part.

    Bike for a taller rider

I would warn against a wisper if you have long legs as with the standard seat post at its maximum permitted extension there is a risk of frame breakage at the clamp. A wisper with an extended seat post is a good bike, but unless you get an expensive sprung extended post you will lose the...
