Kudos Tourer first proper ride review.

OK, I did my first decent run on the Kudos Tourer today. 1st impressions are, I loved it. I live in a very hilly area in Central Scotland and was worried about the hills when I was searching for an E-bike. I chose the Kudos tourer for a couple of reasons: 1st it looks like a normal (to me)...

    Kudos tourer, 1st real test

The website is: Kudos Cycles There is a flashing advert/link to the site on the right of this foum. I'm not sure if I have to condition the battery, I've contacted them and will soon find out, so I guess it's best I do condition it until I find out the answer. :)

    Kudos tourer, 1st real test

I've had the Kudos tourer for just over a week and today was the first chance I've had to try it out. I did 18 miles up steep hills and down steep hills. Where I live they are ALL steep hills. I may put a proper review in the review section later. It seems to have only used 1 bar of the battery...

    Kudos King owners beware

I have a Kudos tourer and after reading this post I went out and took my front tyre and tube off. I took it off and replaced it in about 5 minutes, which worried me. :) Mine has rim tape. My rear wheel has what appears to be a joint/plug in the motor cable about 6" from the wheel. It looks like...

    Kudos Tourer is all mine.

My Kudos Tourer arrived today and although I haven't been able to give it a good go yet, I did try it on the hill right outside my house. It's a fair hill, not the steepest near me but not a shallow hill either. Anyway, off I set and like Iffy who reported on his Kudos King yesterday I too...

Wisper DaaHub arrives - what a bike!

I'm surprised anyone would want to wear the battery on their back, especially off road. It looks like it could snap your spine in an accident. Where it is on the frame is OK. Not everyone will like it but not everyone likes everything.

    good price starter e-bike

For me, the 17" frame. It would look tiny with me on it.

    good price starter e-bike

    From the Association of British cycling coaches I got the following chart. Inside leg Seat tube 28 18.5 29 19 30 20 31 20.5 32 21.5 33 22 34 22.5...

Are you saying that someone 5'8" should have a 33" inside leg? I really doubt that.

    good price starter e-bike

If he's riding a 52cm framed bike he doesn't have short legs. I have a 32" inside leg and I'm looking for a 21" frame. That's been the size of frame I've used on bikes since I grew up.

    good price starter e-bike

It says the frame size is 17". Seems a bit on the small side, or have I read it wrong?

    Alien Typhoon.

I haven't really looked at any others. A man at work turned up on a GSII and it looked the business. :) I think a 21" frame is the size I fancy, I had a 21" framed bike 30 years ago and I don't think I'm any smaller these days.

    Alien Typhoon.

OK getting back on topic. I don't care if someone rides an Aurora and I don'tcare if it's illegal. :) Has anyone got any experience of the Typhoon? Is it as good as the GSII?
  18. Jimod

    Alien Typhoon.

The Aurora is also illegal. I just fancied staying legal. I would, of course, love an Aurora. I just want to stay legal though.

    Alien Typhoon.

I wanted to buy an Alien Gents special II but you can't get them anymore. Alien say it has been replaced by the Typhoon. Does anyone have any experience of this bike? Does it come in 21" frame size? Jim

    "Helmets are required for E-Bikes"

The shoe lace argument wasn't silly, it was proving a point. You don't think velcro should be made compulsory so you think it's silly. Also, I wasn't talking about shoe laces when driving, I was talking about walking. A few years ago, the fashion was for youngsters NOT to tie shoe laces when...
