    Unassisted Riding

As a couple may know. I recently destroyed a few spokes on my BPM build wheel. Whilst waiting for replacements DT Swiss Spokes from Just1bike (Who I can't recommend enough) I thought I'd remove all the electrical gubins that make up my Marin Electric build. I replaced the the wheel back...

    BPM Wheel Failure

To keep you updated I hated using public transport for the past couple of days in the working week. So while the bike is awaiting spokes and for me to re lace it once I have the spokes, I decided to just get a puncture repair kit. A cheap free wheel cassette And started removing all the...

    BPM Wheel Failure

I dont really know but for the cosr I just replaced the lot. Least that way they will be all the same make etc... I think you could reuse them providing the threads and pins are not damaged. Metal does stretch etc but not by that much ...

Just to keep you all updated I have pciked up my bike and removed all spokes from the motor bpm hub. On inspection I've took out 7 spokes in total. I've been in contact with Alan @ Just1bike where I have sent off 3 of my spokes with nipples to get a replacement of 40 spokes at 13g DT...

Thanks for the heads up on the figures. I'll take one out and have a look and measure it. I believe the rim is ok. But again I'll take it apart and have a look and replace as needed. What you have detailed sounds about right. Same spoke pattern etc.. I'll let you know how I get on...

    BPM Wheel Failure

This morning on my standard run to work I managed break my rear wheel. I done this by travelling nearer to the kerb than I usually do and wasn't looking for a split second when I hit a huge pot hole. Front wheel is ok due to no real weight being over the front. Rear on the other hand I...

    front torque arm UK?

I've not really found anywhere that do them. Its almost a bespoke part you can get an engineering company to manufacture. Ezee Kits may have something universal but it only comes with their kits. However when I last spoke to them if there was enough interest they may buy some additional ones in.

    I need help please

Could you not just get something with a higher wind to increase the hill climbing ability and then increase the controller to enable more defined "Torque". As most controllers with legal kits are not that powerful getting something with more than 10amp continuous should help on those hills (As...

    Taking the train

Sod it, take your chance and if they moan they can stick it. I'd never even give them a name and address. I hate the jobsworth monkeys. Espcially when you've been honest and brough a ticket for the train. There are so many people that get caught out becasue the train was late orr...

    Taking the train

Most of the train companies have their stance on bikes on trains on the web. But as detailed before it's mainly up to the actual train company. Most round the midlands are free for full size bikes. However if you do use a full size bike you'll never get it on with all he people at peak times...

has anyone switched to a road bike after using the elecs?

Similar to most concerned about the distance or speed which I could first complete my commute to work. HapPy I now complete the commute in the same time I could drive it. Except each day I save four pound in petrol. Now looking at a simple fixed wheel bike to use on small trips around the city...

Will the transition from fossil fuels be similar to that from Petrol to Diesel?

Yeah but then there's no tail pipe emissions on top of the fossil fuels used in power stations. Also if you started using electric alot you can look into more renewable sources. Either way its alot of development. It would also be more effcient to have a power station use up the fossil...

Will the transition from fossil fuels be similar to that from Petrol to Diesel?

Its definetly a more practical approach. When i used to drive alot I brought a 4 door for space. Although 99% of journeys are travelled on my own. So yes this does show a better result on personal commuting transport. Would be better if it had doors and could reach the legal motorway limit...
