    Swap a bbso1 for a tsdz2 as a direct test

The comparison is not a fair one the inner tinkerer loves the bbs02 500watt and the extra grunt but the choice of a bbs01 250watt 15amp and this is a tougher, I like the bbs01 when I bought this I never dreamed :eek::eek:this outcome. But as a out of the box option I think for most...

    Help! Tsdz2 48v

The 750 watt draws 15 amps how deep are you pockets and how much weight do yo want to add my personal opinion is no cheap Chinese cells get a branded cell Samsung or Sanyo ga cells the pack needs to be around 17 ah at 48v the tsdz2 will not run 52v packs without modification try not...

    BBS01B 15/18/25amp - 24mph?

The 350 watt is not worth it to little gain [ I have one in the trike ]if you want a 36 v system the 500watt bbs02 which is set to 25 amps as standard is the one, its also available in 48v if you hunt around for it :D or stay legal at 250 watt version more power = more battery cost cheap...

    BBS01B 15/18/25amp - 24mph?

The alfine runs well with the gearing of 18 on the rear and the standard as supplied chainring on the front ,the 15 ah is ok , but do not try the 52 tooth on the front the top speed is higher but you risk burn out as an aside the tsdz2 is ok up to mid 20s mph as well

    BBS01B 15/18/25amp - 24mph?

You need to be careful not all versions of the bbso1b will go above 15 amps it a firmware thing and the luck of which batch you get , the standard 15 amp will do over 20 mph with ease on the flat

The work shop ghost has been at it again

Still waiting for the battery box to arrive [ do not laugh at the bungie tie round the battery ]but a longer ride showed the gearing to be to fast ,so on with a 36 tooth bling ring the little black cog on the rear axle is the diff now pulls 750watts peak runs 250- 300watts at 15.5 mph thinking...

    Swap a bbso1 for a tsdz2 as a direct test

Had a longer test ride today:) now I understand how to use the pas levels to match gears and pedal effort required cannot get away with ghost pedal trick any more;) A much happier more relaxed ride found I spent more time enjoying the countryside rather than if I had used the bbs02 that is...

The battery is the most important part of the set up mine came from jimmy at insat it cost £450.00 the cells are Sanyo ga [Panasonic] you will not get a cheap battery to do any sort of long range or last very long [ think turbo car cheap petrol ] you need a quality cell A standard 250watt...

    Swap a bbso1 for a tsdz2 as a direct test

The test ride completed my first impressions are its not going to set the world on fire. But in the words of a tv add it does exactly what it says on the tin and it does it very well , as a legal 250 watt 36v motor with a 15.5 mph cut off and at the price good value for the money...

Strapped the battery on with a couple of ties fitted both the rear discs and off round the field for a test ride ;) great up to about 25 mph :D:D:D:D. The 3 speed hub gears provide enough low down grunt , surprised how far cable operated discs have come in a few years the 203 mm on the front...
