    Bafang BBSxx Minimalist display

Anyone tried "The Minimalist" display from Eco Cycles? https://www.eco-ebike.com/products/minimalist-intelligent-oled-display-for-bbs Looks great, wish I knew about that one before I changed to a C963 :) strange that they don't have a user manual there, would be nice to read exactly what...

    Expected lifetime of a BBS02

My BBS01 died today :( Came about 3km before something in the internal gearing started to behave odd, rattling sound and it felt stiff and moved slower. Problem disappeared when shutting off and pedal without motor. Power on again and it continues, started to get worse quite soon. After a...

that is bad, hard to fix without a second chain lock. Well. Today the motor died! :( it is really not ment that I shall use this bike.

FFS! Chain snap, first time it happens to me. About 2km from job. But I was lucky, it snapped about 10cm from the chain lock. But chain lock was difficult to open, managed with the thread twist method, using my shoe lace! :)

    Switched from SWXB to Q100H

yes, sounds like a good plan. These motors are good because you can exchange controller, display, sensors and battery to something else if you want. If something brakes or you just want to try (need) something else. Kinda like a standard for these parts. Not everything but many combinations is...

    Switched from SWXB to Q100H

ok, but that sounds good then. I rode my new Q100H a long ride today and it really is great. This motor + battery weighs not too much. My ebike is like an old push steel bike :) One more thing that needs to pointen out. Simplicity you say. If that is important I also vote for the hub motor...

    Switched from SWXB to Q100H

I would consider middrive in case it would fit your tandem. A little more expensive but climbs mountains really great. If you feel that is an important factor. With hub motors you need to lower the assist if you have a looong uphill, otherwise you burn the controller. But it works good that too...

    Switched from SWXB to Q100H

Did a long testride with mostly flat but some really hilly areas also. Well, it is like a new bike! The motor is very quiet! On cruising speed with not much effort you can barely hear it. When you stress it you hear it though but since it is so strong it needs some mean hills to come to that...

Was out testing my new motor today (Q100H). What a difference! Proper RPM and good motor makes this feels like a new bike. Sent from my Redmi 5 Plus using Tapatalk

    Switched from SWXB to Q100H

Done! It was easy. You just have to forget what you previously learned and start all-over again Set max speed to 25km/h so you know you can get to a point where controller regulates down and every limiting parameter works as they should. Adjust wheel size so it matches GPS, forget numbers, it...

    Switched from SWXB to Q100H

Finished with the wheel! Was no problem building it, had to replace two nipples. But the screws for brake disc was total crap in quality, I will not be able to reuse them. But hopefully the brake disc will never need to be removed :) So extremely nice with a connector there also. Have never had...

    Switched from SWXB to Q100H

Ok, cool. Thanks, but I rely on Sheldons guide. Have built several wheels using his guide but still can't remember how to start so I always go back to it everytime there is a new build going on. One improvement area though is the spoke tension but it use to work itself out after some time :)...

very nice build! So yours is doing 20mph unrestricted. That's perfect. I also built a bike from scratch, I thought I build the best all-conditions e-bike :) built on TN719 rims, got very nice: http://www.pedelecs.co.uk/forum/threads/custom-cube-kathmandu-build.20959 Will change motor tomorrow...

    Switched from SWXB to Q100H

Got it today! Very nice! Q100H, 36V, 350W, 260rpm It is 100mm wide, 108,5mm spoke flange. Weighs 2,1 kg. Problem is that my old motor (unknown brand) has spoke flange of about 124mm :( so I need new spokes. That was unfortunate. /edit: now when I calculate it seems they might fit, flange...
