Anything you want to buy on Ebay ?

Received my stand yesterday, and I must say I am really impressed at what you get for the money. I was expecting curtain pole thickness construction, but the tubes are quite substantial and the holding clamps are pretty beefy too. The pictures don't do this product justice and I'm glad I got...

    Effective rear Bike light...attention grabbing

I've cut a hole in my riding trousers and eat a bowl of Ready Brek before I go out. A cheaper option, plus I get a nice healthy dose of fibre.

Advice on BBSxx hill climbing from the horse's mouth

Just thought I'd copy and paste a reply, cell_man aka Paul from EM3ev, posted on Endless Sphere, reference the best way to use a BBSxx when climbing steep hills. He is quite an authority on all things electric bike, and has sold thousands of BBSxx kits, so knows from his repair returns, how...

    Pedal assist not working

Try the following: Clean the pedal sensor disc and the little receiver unit with some contact cleaner. If it still fails to operate when turning crank, check that the sensor disc isn't damaged, and that it runs true, close to the receiver unit.

Time for a bigger trike - which BBS02?

In the Bafang BBSxx's defense, most of them come restricted as I try to explain in post #5 of the following thread: http://pedelecs.co.uk/forum/threads/barfang-8fun-250w-mid-drive-help.23585/#post-296712 Reprogramming the controller unleashes the full potential, but opens up problems with...

Protect your bike parts - very innovative

Good idea, but I'm wondering if it's providing a solution for a problem that is very minimal or doesn't exist. My solution is to ride a Halford's Trax. You can't give the parts away :D

    First time ebike rider

Firstly, welcome to the forum. We're a friendly happy community, so don't be afraid to ask any questions, no matter how trivial you think they are. My advice would be to stick some puncture resistant tyres on the bike. Schwalbe Marathon Plus tyres are very good. You can buy them with commuter...

    Retailer doing so well !!

After 4 attempts in total to get their attention, I would agree with you and Nealh... avoid avoid avoid :) I've dealt with online retailers, where they've had to endure my countless questions before a purchase. Most reply in a quick and professional manner. A lot are very busy companies, but...

    Retailer doing so well !!

Mmmmmmm, whatever the reasoning behind the lack of replies to your questions, It doesn't bode well for their after-sales service. When you called, was there an answer machine, or did it just ring out? It looks like they may have changed the name to Electric Bike Sales, and have 5 stores in the...

Barfang 8fun 250w mid drive help

You probably mean the battery is a 36v type, and I believe the controller has a max amp output of 15 amps. The motor should be running as long as the pedals are turning. It is designed to stop when you stop pedaling, or the brakes are applied, for safety reasons. Also it helps prevent damage to...

Barfang 8fun 250w mid drive help

The problem with the Bafangs is that they are quick to cut the power from the pedal assist, but quite slow to reapply the power. It only takes a momentary stop of the pedal (or back pedal) for power to cut to the motor. Then to make matters worse, it can take about an eighth of a pedal...
