I don't like going against flecc's advice, but I owned a MAC 10T bike a few years ago, and I fitted a torque arm on each side. It was running a 30 amp controller at 48 volts, so not amazingly powerful, but these beast do produce a lot of torque from standstill, which is harsh on dropouts...

Stupidly I left the main lights on the car, and it ran the battery down to 7.5 volts. This wasn't enough voltage to start it, but after a boost, it started fine. Ran the engine for a good while to top the battery back up. My question is, would draining the battery down to 7.5 volts have caused...

The only viable fixing route is to replace the casing with a new one I'm afraid. Even if they sent you a new case, it's a big job and not for the faint hearted. Definitely not recommended if they offer you this option! If you paid via PayPal, then escalating a claim usually gets them motivated...

In reference to flecc's reply, I think it uses only standard USB 500 mA supply at 5 volts. I read over on Endless Sphere that a couple of people have messed the battery BMS up, by plugging stuff into this port. Therefore, I personally wouldn't plug anything into it.

Firstly, the motor sounds like it's running ok. The clicking sound is the pawls in the mechanism making a noise, because the crankshaft isn't turning at the same time as the motor. You won't get this sound once pedals are on and turning. Secondly, it all depends on what you're comfortable with...
