I can check which have hydraulic brakes. I can add in forks and gears, but might need some help comparing them. Handling's difficult, most of these brands are small, so it's unlikely I'll find demo units to try.

My partner is disabled. A rear hub motor using a cadence sensor gives her full power with barely any peddle movement, which is great for her, whereas the more pedalling = more power model of a torque sensor wouldn't help at all. Is this something that can be adjusted or turned off in mid-drive...

I've been offered an ex-demo Merida eOne-Sixty 800 for £4k, down from the standard price of £4700. It's had an easy life so far at 99 miles round the local green area. Is there anything comparable to this model at around this price I should consider? Thanks!
