    What name next?

I remember a Swedish woman who was very amused to see all the notices in the fields on the way from the Hook of Harwich for swedes for sale.

Have I done the right thing? pimped my ride

Now all he has to do is run it back through Google and into English again. It will be fairly surreal, and probably difficult to tell apart from his usual posts.

Well how about that, I just found the working man club :-)

I’m not sure that he was playing a character at the start in his first thread. I think that was him. Probably pissed - but in vino veritas. Since then he’s played up to it and gone overboard.… Probably fell off his imaginary boat at 40 knots in a fast turn approaching Guernsey.

Have I done the right thing? pimped my ride

He hasn’t wound me up. He’s bored me. Anyone can post drivel like this and some who do are even funny, but he isn’t one of them.

    Battery Location

If you were using it with the power off it would have felt heavy and sluggish alright. But why would you? If you don’t want to use the power why buy a pedelec? Did you put it in full power and try going uphill as fast as you could? The feeling of having bionic legs is worth the money just for that.

Well how about that, I just found the working man club :-)

I think he might become the first member to go on my ignore list. I preferred his unintentionally funny earlier stuff but now he’s trying too hard and becoming a bore.

    He's just become boring now.

    Have I missed anything?

I think the manufactures just pick a number when it comes to claimed weight. All the Kalkhoffs for instance are claimed to weigh the same on the websites. Irrespective of battery size or whether they have hub gears, or any other differences between models.

You really are a sucker for marketing aren’t you… Rosberg keeps his at home in Monaco and uses it to pop down to the corner shop when his wife runs out of milk.

Have I done the right thing? pimped my ride

F 1 drivers go in for very expensive road bikes as part of their fitness regime these days.

That bloke going uphill on it looks for all the world like Lance Armstrong. Was it him riding it up that hill in NZ?

    Smart ebike out of production?

As you have probably noticed by now you didn’t miss a lot really. It all went tits up in no time.

How difficult it is to detach, open and grease panasonic crank motor?

Vaasa was last here in 2012 when this thread was current so is unlikely to see your post.

    Have I missed anything?

If you’re 5’ 3” the BB will be too big for you. I can’t remember what model it was that trex said Hattie from Woosh rode but she is about your height I think and I remember it had a powerful motor. Maybe if you ring and tell her your height she will advise you. Or trex might see this and tell you.

Folding or regular, prebuilt or converted...advice appreicated !!

The first e bike I bought was a Woosh Sport CD with a 9ah battery. Where I live in west Wales I got just under 17 miles going as fast as I could. Around 20 w/hrs per mile. Speed sensor CDs like that eat batteries when ridden fast in hilly country.

Only if you are a very strong pedaler and you’re on flat ground. In which case why buy an e bike?

Have you got it going yet? If the weather is good where you are time is a wasting.

What are you thinking of then? There really aren’t that many light conversions and I remember d8veh reckoned that this was one of the best.

Weight isn’t the only thing or even the main thing to consider. When moving at even 15 mph air resistance is more important than weight. The Raptor seems like a bike for a keen cyclist who doesn’t ride up hills too much. A flat city bike really. For that sort of bike I would prefer a Momentum...
