What a great thread! I also understand that the higher Voltage means that the current can be reduced, minimising pressure on cables and connections. Is this the case or am I missing something?

Comments on this thread suggests that a 48V system is superior to a 36v. If that’s the case why are most systems on the market 36V?

I agree 24” wheels and tyres are very easily available anywhere. A 24” bike is perfect for the shorter rider who would rather not have a folder.
