Prices of the electricity we use to charge

Lithium battery fire scares of course, chiefly due to Teslas poor history in this respect and exacerbated by all the e-scooter/e-bike incidents. But as ever illogical. I also get lumbered with a silly high premium for my Nissan Leaf, but they have an impeccable history in this respect and for...

Prices of the electricity we use to charge

I am reading just fine, I didn't deny that there is a cost. All EV insurance is much more expensive than for ICs, all part of the higher costs for them now that I've already acknowledged. But it won't stop the process of them continuing to take over the market. .

This is done by taking down the V5C registration document and substituting it with the EV documents. Generally, any vehicle, be it brand new, retrofitted with a kit, rebuilt or radically altered, must be registered accordingly with the DVLA (Driver & Vehicle Licensing Agency). .

Prices of the electricity we use to charge

You just are not listening, half the demand but all the existing profit or more, exactly as I keep saying. Where's the problem? VW do have a separate problem though, from the outset they have made a complete mess of this change to EVs, entirely their own fault through the same arrogance and...

Prices of the electricity we use to charge

Agreed, it's all the costs making an e-car much dearer than an IC car now, just as I've pointed out, and why there will be much less car ownership in future. That's the whole point for many and I've never hidden it. But it's a very slow process. As I said to you above, 1.6 million new...

Prices of the electricity we use to charge

But you are making a weird comparison. The Microlino isn't the future, people dont want that sort of apology for a car. They want something like a Peugeot Partner equivalent electric, but at the same price, but of course they cannot have that. The reason is simple of course, they have to buy...

Prices of the electricity we use to charge

Nice thought, but it needs a return to the lighter, smaller people of yesteryear, who didn't need cars to be 7 feet wide and so high. It's amusing in "Bangers and Cash" on Channel W (freeview 27) when today's tall fatsos struggle to get into the much older cars they auction. .

Maybe the critics and naysayers search for negatives? A quarter of all UK monthly car sales in 2023 have been battery only EVs, despite the deadline for IC sales being moved to over a decade away. The Tesla Model Y is on course to become the best-selling car across Europe in 2023 as it clocks...

    Boxer Cargo Trike Pedal Sensor

If only they'd continued to say "No". We'd still be dying at our peak instead of then facing 50 years of slow painful decline with an ill functioning NHS only able to offer comforting words like "Seven year waiting list" and "Covid booster". Of course that would have meant missing out on all...

Suggestion that delivery companies should check their riders bikes are legal !!!!!!

Agreed, since the originator of this modern law, the Japanese, had the intention of keeping as close to unpowered bicycles as possible and it was very strict. The Japanese have determined that the maximum power allowable must not exceed the power the rider puts in (1 to 1), and that this should...

Suggestion that delivery companies should check their riders bikes are legal !!!!!!

You just aren't getting it are you? It's a con. All this is intentional, see my answer to Saneagle just above. And China has exactly the same system, they also adopted the EU's 250 watt law long ago while producing their own e-bikes with 700 watts or more. There you go again, obsessed...

Prices of the electricity we use to charge

Many of the commentators are ignoring the political aspect and have failed to notice that Honda too is dragging it's heel on EVs, or even realising that Toyota and Honda are the only truly Japanese car companies. The rest were all wholly or partially bought out by the west in the huge 1990s...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

But will they be foolish enough go for yet another first minister change, already five in a row, and even more foolish enough to choose Braverman as the number six? Knowing deep down they will probably lose the next GE anyway, I think that might make them realise it's a risk not worth taking...

Suggestion that delivery companies should check their riders bikes are legal !!!!!!

That cannot happen of course since the public information they give out is a con, designed to deliberately conceal the true position on pedelec power. That's to satisfy the moped and motorcycle industry interests and fool others. For example our MPs. The Committee stage of passing the new...

Suggestion that delivery companies should check their riders bikes are legal !!!!!!

I promised you a further answer to this, it is just above to Benjahmin and here it is again on the link below: https://www.pedelecs.co.uk/forum/threads/suggestion-that-delivery-companies-should-check-their-riders-bikes-are-legal.46322/post-698893 .

Suggestion that delivery companies should check their riders bikes are legal !!!!!!

That isn't even remotely true, the pedelec legislation aspects were and are created over time by a committee of all the interested and most knowledgeable parties. That is necessary in democracies like the UK and EU countries where the sort of dictatorship you suspect would not be acceptable...

Twist and Go 15.5mph DIY Ebikes are legal

I've told you why. You have interpreted that guide section you believe is funny as a choice. It isn't, there is no choice. I've further explained to BonzoBanana who also misinterpreted what that document is, so you may prefer that brief explanation on this link .

Suggestion that delivery companies should check their riders bikes are legal !!!!!!

How do you manage to be so hopelessly wrong? That document is not in any way about certification. What on earth makes you think it is? It is merely a guide, a simple explanation of that is involved if someone is thinking of getting a pedelec. It is excellent, clearly giving the basic...

Twist and Go 15.5mph DIY Ebikes are legal

Whilst your sentiment is on their accuracy is often true, that guideline is not for your action, since there is no law for self created pedelecs. Both kit suppliers and those who create self build pedelecs operate in a legal vacuum, trying to do their best to fit in with the law. That guide is...

Twist and Go 15.5mph DIY Ebikes are legal

You are quoting from a government guide document which you should never do, since extracts are invariably inaccurate. In this instance it indicates a choice, but there is none. Only the actual law is accurate and there is no choice, what should be on the plate is according to the pedelec's...
