    Brexit, for once some facts.

Now that virtually everyone wno hasn't got a camera has a smartphone, it's actually dead easy: This set isn't for my home, I monitor the reserve's water usage as well so with photographs have proof to avoid any arguments with the water company SES or with the Council who manage the reserve...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

No, they can and would have to split them, or have a court tell them that and pay all the court costs. My water usage as a single occupier has been very consistent in all bills year on year for over 54 years, so if a large leak occurred in the buried supply pipe before it entered my home...

Same here, but it was across the middle of the day. .

    Brexit, for once some facts.

No, Thames Water bill them separately, the waste water as a percentage of the water supplied and used. Ground waste water is also separately charged if it goes into the sewage system, but my estate has soakaways so we pay no ground water change for rainwater etc. For that reason they cannot...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

£10,824 currently, so just into a ten thousand with Thames Water. No waste water disposal charge for a leak of course. But you are right, Thames Water are a very poor company altogether, not just with fixing leaks. They have too many owners, far away foreign companies having no involvement or...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

It would be a winning move if the vastly inflated prices are still around then. But would he want to apply what is so obviously a Corbyn policy that would cast him to the true left of socialist politics? I think not. .

    Cargo-Bike selfmade

General Chat seems to attract a lot of spam too, often with fake ID's posting to themselves as different people. For such reasons the administrators long ago stopped it updating in New Posts, leaving that just for the Cycling fora. But posted traffic is what web sites need to attract...

    Cargo-Bike selfmade

Sorry to learn that Neal, a sad loss of a uniquely talented man. Not enough people know that Mike Burrows was not only responsible for 'Rat-Catcher' recumbent racing cycles, he was the designer of the cutting edge Lotus racing bike that carried Chris Boardman to a seminal Olympic gold medal in...

How unlock ANANDA M129H engine, D15 display

Hi Stefano, sorry you've had no answers. Similar queries have cropped up about Ananda controllers before without finding an answer. This thread from 2015 is an example. It seems some of the more recent ones are unlocked by flashing, this video being an example. .

    Help! Newbie: Replacement Tyres Query

Thes two are virtually the same thing, both having the same carcase construction with thick puncture resistsnt under-tread layer, the CityRide being Continental's copy of the Marathon Plus. I don't think you'd notice any real difference. .

    Brexit, for once some facts.

I fully agree with it and am totally opposed to the Tory response that the help should only go to those who cannot pay the new prices. That means those who have been careful and have some savings lose all those savings to pay their bills. Those who have been wantonly spending, often via huge...

Grant Shapps wants a speed limit for cyclists

. Automation. The police don't have the capacity to monitor car speeds, so ever increasing numbers of automated cameras issue the fines, since that is cheap, easy, lucrative and convenient. Bicycles can have rear number plates and registration, some places have had them in the past and S class...

Getting closer to an economic solution to my pedelec needs?

Not such a problem with hub motors which are often the same or greater radius than the cassette or freewheel. Z bend fine for repairs, though I imagine many customers would view such a repair by an LBS to be a bodge job. .

Amazon launch their first UK e-cargo micromobility hub

An amusing aspect of Fungi Walks. We've held them for years with a couple of us leading them, normally low key and attended by no more than 20 people, even that being more than can be accommodated on narrow woodland paths with everyone getting a look in. One year the rest of the committee of...

Getting closer to an economic solution to my pedelec needs?

Sounds good Peter, an ersatz mix adding variety interest to your e-cycling. Getting spokes short enough for building the Swytch hub motor into a 16" rim may not be easy, but the British made spokes on this link can be bought down to 122 mm long and I've used their somewhat longer ones...

Amazon launch their first UK e-cargo micromobility hub

The vast majority of wild fungi are not worthwhile eating, far too tough or far too fragile and shrinking to almost nothing, or simply not tasting good. A proportion can provoke various gastric upsets which can cause short term discomfort on occasion, while others have hallucinogenic effects...
