I have two 3ah batteries (20+ mile range each)and a 16ah which gives me 140 miles on its own. The killing batteries is rough speech for really short range. Doing 20 mph uses over twice the power 15 mph takes and so battery range is halfed.

The current that flows is dependant on the battery and charger resistance and voltage difference between battery and charger. Is the higher rated charger higher voltage or higher current. What is the bms settings is it a cut out protection or current control? All these and more questions spring...

You might as well get Hung for a sheep as a lamb. Get the bigger motor. The 01 can help you do 20 easy on the flat. And climb hills at 5 mph( assuming low gear steep hill and no effort from you) but much reduced range and an easy cop if they decide to clamp down.

Pas no throttle( it's still in the box).settings as supplied I haven't got round to programming as my range is ridiculous on full power and average speeds are up at 17mph, on a low traffic day.

Quality bikes I really liked my hybrid one.( Bh Panasonic motor on a Kalhoff frame). But ain't joining the club as this one is plenty.
