    What's my velocity?

My average is around 26-30kph lights and traffic slow me down. Flat road I cruse at around 32kph. Off road I fall off. My bike has full suspension but I have NO stability.

    500W e-bike or road bike?

The power thing is a fudge up. Motor rating was designed to stop people overrating the motors. So it has to deal with at least 250 watts to pass. The BBS01 as standard draws about 600 watts. A 500 watt rated motor might not be able to handle 600 watts.More than the rated power for your...

    Quick hello to introduce myself

Converting your manual bike with a CD kit would give you the option of legal assist and close to original performance, just faster uphill and a little heavier. And if you want to risk the **** you can alter the cut out speed too

    500W e-bike or road bike?

If you don't pedal the E bike is fastest upto 25kph. The top speed if you do is higher on a road bike. At 35kph most electric bikes will struggle as heavy and gearing is rubbishy. A good road bike is easier at this speed ( if you can do it) But average speed on a legal electric bike is normaly...

Expected top on the flat speed out of a 250w/350w bafang midrive please?

The 250 watt rated motor is legal as that's what the manufacturer calls it. But they can run at near 700watts still legal. 42volt x 18 amp ? They can be reprogrammed, via the control panel. It's not what they call an off-road switch so it stays legal until you set the speed to over 26 kph then...

The Bermuda is a little lighter, could get slightly better range. The big bear has slightly higher max power, so slightly less range. But not a lot other than esthetics. Think citeron or Peugeot. Both do family cars that work about the same. If you've never had a car before they are both...

Are ebikes worth the price tag?

Are ebikes worth the price tag?

Since my BH was written off, my lawyers have estimated £20 a week in travel expenses for commuting. So over two years that's about £2k Not to mention I wouldn't have to spend on gym membership. So over two years any bike for less than £1500 would have to be a considerable saving. A woosh would...

Perhaps not. A whoosh should give at least 3 years with minor maintance. To jump to a non Chinese build will take the bill from under a £k to perhaps £2k? That's to go to quality ride. It's like going from a Hyundai to BMW big price diff but both will do 70 on the motorway.

Expected top on the flat speed out of a 250w/350w bafang midrive please?

As Geebee said its your effort and bike performance. I can get over 20 without assistance on the flat as my bike is very aerodynamic . With assist well 30 would be possible but I stay legal. With cut out at 15 I get well over 100 miles from a 16ah battery. Or 20 from a 3ah pack. To maintain a...

Woosh are a solid company with a good reputation at the budget end. They are offering a new bike with warranty at a price only just above second hand. Although others are coming down in price to compete for budget buyers.

    Any thoughts on this bike?

Nice but we have had the bh race carbon at 16kg with a bigger battery. So reinventing not a lot.
