Dillenger 1000 Watt, 48 Volt, 10Ah, Front wheel kit

Today I decided to test the PAS with a ride to the Commercial Hotel in Barnard Castle. For this test I left the PAS in full assistance(5 on the lcd). I also used full throttle for 1 mile to help on some really steep bits and to give my unfit body a bit of a breather. As you can see on the map...

Dillenger 1000 Watt, 48 Volt, 10Ah, Front wheel kit

Second and most important test this morning,a trip to the pub and back! I put a new tube in this morning so both tyres are now 65psi. The trip was 8,8 miles long (14.2K) and includes some pretty steep and long hills . The total climb is 531 feet. I did take my helmet cam but must have pressed...

    cyclomatic - servo brake problem?

I can hardly pedal my Cyclamatic at all when the battery is flat because of the motor drag. I disconnected the rear brake and it is definately the motor. A fitter person might manage better of course.

Dillenger 1000 Watt, 48 Volt, 10Ah, Front wheel kit

Just charged the battery and it took 5.5 hours from flat to full. Thats a bit different from the claimed 3 hours. Bought a pair of Dr Sludge self sealing inner tubes today to go with the puncture resistant tyreso_O Belt and braces comes to mind.

Dillenger 1000 Watt, 48 Volt, 10Ah, Front wheel kit

Well spotted. I put it facing up as I wanted to be sure I had enough cable to reach. I am changing the tyres at the weekend and will be turning it round then . Thats my excuse and I am sticking to it:oops:

Dillenger 1000 Watt, 48 Volt, 10Ah, Front wheel kit

I am happy to keep the throttle thats on it rather than mess about especially as the plug is so small. It actually works ok with the gears once you get used to it.

    Dillenger Electric Bikes Conversion kits

Strangely enough the link to the 1000w 6Ah kit no longer works. Perhaps folks are complaining about the lack of range.

Dillenger 1000 Watt, 48 Volt, 10Ah, Front wheel kit

Today I decided to test the batteries power so rode up and down the main road outside,3/4 flat going with hills at either end and one in the middle. I pedalled up the hills to keep the motor going at 15mph and the results were....... 11.1 miles from fully charged to cutting out. 38 minutes...

Dillenger 1000 Watt, 48 Volt, 10Ah, Front wheel kit

I think thats the answer. The front is adjusted so it drags slightly and still has about as much effect as putting a foot down on the road.

Dillenger 1000 Watt, 48 Volt, 10Ah, Front wheel kit

I will get a thumb throttle(eventually) but for now going to keep it standard in case I need to call on the warranty(some folks are not happy if you chop the plugs off and dont think I will find one with the same plug as mine). Got my lcd changed to imperial this morning as I am too old to be...

Dillenger 1000 Watt, 48 Volt, 10Ah, Front wheel kit

Just repaired the rear puncture. It was caused by a tiny road chipping, couldnt believe such a small thing would go straight through the tyre,it must have been 3mm long. The road outside has millions more of them so am glad I have ordered some puncture resistant ones.

Dillenger 1000 Watt, 48 Volt, 10Ah, Front wheel kit

Good idea that, to use the rack clamp in place of the seat clamp will sort that. The rack is aluminium and comes with steel tubes to mount to a hardtail so I may be able to use them for a bit of strengthening,it certainly looks a bit delicate at the moment. I had a look at a Diamondback with the...

Dillenger 1000 Watt, 48 Volt, 10Ah, Front wheel kit

Hi Sam The front wheel was no problem on hills even though the roads here had new chippings put on last week. Which battery you choose depends on what range you want but you wont get very far with the smaller battery. I chose the front wheel motor for my first kit as its easier to fit and I wont...
