Main Dealers, Manufacturers, Importers - who are they?

This just sounds like a way of bombarding busy people/businesses with spam email.

They don't exactly look at ease either do they.

Having read the hype about that, it looks very poor and disappointing to say the least. Was it my imagination, or did I spot a Stealth Bomber at the 1.15 point? If it were, I'm surprised that they have got away with that one. .

eMTB owners photo and ride thread.

Another lovely early morning off road commute to work. :) I also have a massive hankering to ride up and over this on the hardtail. It's pulling me like a magnet with every ride past. It should prove a good test of my balance, and when stopping for a closer look this morning, the only...

I don't think much to the coating on the Bosch motors

Is that now the second bearing, or did you not worry about fixing it the first time around?

So would you ride it? It is part of Cycle route 21

So would you ride through/along here?

    The new best headlight

Sorry to continue with the thread derail, I think that someone even once mentioned a superb new light. :) That pretty much mirrors my riding as well Chris. :)

    The new best headlight

There is always someone faster, and more often than not they don't require an ebike. :) They are just fitter and have bigger balls. ;) The ride is also as flat as a pancake, so it is hardly going to be an effort for a young whippet to trounce you big time.

    The new best headlight

You certainly go out for some long flat rides. :D Not a promising start being flagged though. You should list your rides as ebike.

    Mid drive

Just out of interest Dave, what is the opinion about the motor on this set up. Ignoring the bikes design with it's very scary looking shock position, the hub design appears to look very robustly built? The drop out design caught my eye in relation to your latest build project. Full suspension...

    Rohloff/gearbox question/s!

I see that they also make a full suspension bike as well. Not sure that the shock position would be very nice in the event of an off. http://www.cheetah.de/e-bike/e-bike-mountainspirit.html

    Impending impact

None of that that is good, and I truly feel for you. :( I suspect that the worst of it for you was knowing that you couldn't ride the bike back to the car/home. :( I have loads of off's, thankfully most of them are at just a few mph when trying to do stupid things that only someone 30 plus...

    Dropper posts..

I guess that we are all different, as I haven't felt that it is essential for rocky climbs, even on climbs such as below. It does make life easier, if for example you have to stop for any reason. Having it lower when setting off, does stop you from getting caught on the nose of the saddle. I...

    Giant Full E+1

I'd have thought that the most important aspect would be what dealer support is available to your friend. If all looks good, what has he got to loose. :)

    Mid drive

I have fully explained my reasons above, look at the bullet points. You don't appear to be offering any reasons why a hub drive is better in a proper off road technical situation. As I stated both motor systems have their place, but crank drive is always going to be better off road on tough...

    Mid drive

You have said it yourself. Also there are lots of different terrain and conditions to use said motor systems. You make the same mistake as you have accused Cip57, in the very same post. Your set up would fail in the steep rocky terrain of the Alps, and would potentially be a complete pain...

How to slime a Presta valve tyre?

In the bad old days when I was running a tube set up, unless the puncture was somewhere obvious, I would just stick another tube in and be done with it. You might possibly need to think about replacing those tyres though. The Racing Ralphs that they are based upon, are actually a very good tyre...

eMTB owners photo and ride thread.

What seems strange watching the second clip of the hidden woods, is that on the eMTB the runs are just as much fun to ride up. :) The woodland is a real labyrinth of hidden tracks and trails. You could for example be riding down the route shown in the clip, without even knowing that something...
