How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

Sadly my knees wouldn't hack riding to the Downs, then doing a ride there, and then returning home again. It's really annoying though, as other than knee pain, I'm mentally and physically fit enough. Sitting here now, my knees feel like they are going to explode, and are burning like hell. I'm...

How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

Nealh your post made me smile this morning. I went to Keymer to price the job up that I couldn't do last week, and stuck the bike on the back of the car. I set off for the ride from the clients house, and within minutes was having to get off the bike because the mud was too deep, and ended up...

Buying the right bike for the right reasons

21.8kg http://www.onbike.co.uk/ktm-macina-freeze-26-11-cx5.html I used to hate the look of fat bikes, but I've kind of got used to them now, and one could be a good alternative choice for you.

Kudos Rapide gets 108 miles out of a 10.4 Ah battery.

I stupidly didn't think to check, but it still hadn't got to the stage of flashing or dropping from the one remaining bar. :) In truth the terrain where I live is too hilly for the bike as the gearing stands, but it would have been interesting to have gauged mileage using a mid level assist...

Kudos Rapide gets 108 miles out of a 10.4 Ah battery.

The final total distance travelled on one battery charge, using the highest power setting was 74.8 miles with a total elevation gain of 5,796' https://www.strava.com/activities/523882816 Frustratingly not quite the 75 miles that I'd wanted. :D

Buying the right bike for the right reasons

I used to use an old front mudguard as well, but quickly realised that the seat tube prevents the rear shock from getting mucky. I don't really see any difference between the rear shock or the front forks, which remain open to all conditions and survive without issue. I am very fussy about...

    oxygen off road

So long as you are out enjoying the bike, nothing else matters. You are out riding, whilst many are still at home hiding. Enjoy the bike. :)

Panasonic hub motor capability, as fitted to KTM e-bikes

stevieb, I intentionally wanted a hub drive bike, as to me they give a more leisurely ride. I already had the Macina Lycan, which is far more focussed as an off road bike. Sometimes it's nice to relax a bit. The differences off road are quite interesting (to me) Based upon the BH and the KTM...

Buying the right bike for the right reasons

Hi Phill, my comments were based upon using the bike perhaps three to four times a week, in some fairly harsh conditions. The soil conditions here are particularly aggressive in composition, as in forest clay which has a make up of sand as fine as flour, and is also very corrosive. With those...

SW usin SW uses a dongle for all of his rides.

How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

I've never minded it. :) Sometimes when it is pouring down with rain, freezing cold and pitch black, I wonder why I'm stepping out of the door, but that feeling is gone with the first puddle. :) Many of my best rides have been completed in conditions that any sane person would be tucked up warm...

How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

It was crazy deep last year, and if you skip to the 6.40 point of this clip, it was just as bad the year before.

    new chain

I believe that your require a nine speed chain. That being the case I'd opt for this one. http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/kmc-x9-93-9-speed-chain/rp-prod12756 Best check how many links that you have first though before ordering.

How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

To be fair, I don't think that I helped things by telling him to get a move on. I recall moaning at him for stopping on the side instead of carrying on through. I also hadn't realised until watching this, just how pushie that I had been to flick my bike up, turn it and get past the lad...

How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

It's called a glove. :) Something that I forgot about at the three minute point in this clip, which was pretty annoying given that towards the end of the clip, I failed to capture clearly, the guy in the bright yellow gators going up to his knees in the muddy water, then falling over and...

Panasonic hub motor capability, as fitted to KTM e-bikes

Just for a bit of fun and nothing scientific to it, myself and a friend took both the Macina Lycan and the e-race P out for some comparative testing today. I'm knackered!!!! We did 28 miles in total, and took in Kidds hill (Official 100 climbs No19 The Wall)...

Lovely to see some mud on it already bebbe. Just as it should be. :) You had more fun that I did today. My day was spent stripping, washing, drying, cleaning and detailing three bikes. I liked the gull arm swingarm of the previous Overvolt, and wonder why they decided to change it. It offered...

    Next project: light assist bike

Sorry Alan I really don't know. From riding side by side with pedal mtb riders on 26" and 29" whilst I'm on 27.5, the order of coasting down hill with slowest first is 26, 27.5 with 29 pulling lengths way. I assume that climbing would be the reverse order.
