    Mainentance?

Hence the need to use cable ties to hold it together. ;) £20.00 is a lot of money for some side cutters. :( .

    SRAM X01 & XX1 Eagle 12-Speed - First Look

That's annoying, I can now only find the chain. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SRAM-PC-X1-PowerChain-11-Speed-MTB-Chain-PCX1-/361284551076 I'll find it. :) edit.. Sorry SW, I just deleted the second part of this, I didn't spot the plus VAT! :( .

    Schwalbe valve dust cover magnet

And everything else that is associated with an ebike does? :) You have a motor, a battery, a display, a ton of wires, and you are worrying about a little magnet. :D

    Quick question about batteries..

And whether you fit mudguards. :D

    SRAM X01 & XX1 Eagle 12-Speed - First Look

60 euro for a front sprocket! That's crazy money for something that would last me about 500 miles.

    Schwalbe valve dust cover magnet

I've yet to have a spoke magnet come loose or move. I'd also prefer not to add anything to a valve stem. Sooner or later it'll catch and snap the stem.

How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

Phill, if you intend to ride in heavy mud, or during the autumn when you get a mud and leaf mix, then you will find that it just clogs up and doesn't clear, resulting in the rear wheel locking up. It'll be fine if you just want to be a fair weather or canal tow path rider though.

    SRAM X01 & XX1 Eagle 12-Speed - First Look

Funny that you should say that, as the next bike is running 11 speed. The chain is an Sram PC x1 and a quick search comes up £17.99 as the cheapest. I'll either try to negotiate a deal on a bulk buy with my bike shop owning friend, or just do what I always do, and keep a close eye on what is on...

How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

Please don't tell me that you are buying a Haibike! I have gone through my fair share of mudguards over time. :) My rear homemade Scud Launcher was the most effective rear mudguard to date, but being close fitting at the seat stay area, mud cannot get away. I am working on a design of rear...

How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

The Neo Guard works perfectly at stopping spray going into the face. http://www.rapidracerproducts.com/NeoGuard.htm I've increasingly found mudguards to be an inconvenience rather than an asset. Everyone is different though. :)

    SRAM X01 & XX1 Eagle 12-Speed - First Look

This is what I don't get. You have raised the gearing of your bike by fitting a larger front sprocket, fitted a dongle to make the bike go faster, yet want to buy something that lowers the gearing. I very rarely change onto my 42 size sprocket, but when I do, I'm traveling at about 5mph tops. I...

Accident with a pedestrian on my ebike

This topic also comes up at the top of a Google search list. I only typed in cyclist hits pedestrian, and there it was at the top.

    Lidl Cycling Gear

I thought that I'd give one of these a go, simply to use as a wash down stand. I was expecting a thin and flimsy piece of rubbish, but was pleasantly surprised. There is lateral movement from the base of the tripod, but as I'm not using it to work on the bike, I'm not worried about that aspect...
