Free advertising, be it for a vacuum cleaner or an ebike.. :) I'd never heard of this brand of vacuum cleaner before this thread, but I have now. Perhaps they aren't so silly after all. .

Everything else on it is XTR as well. :) It's sadly about two frame sizes too small for me though.

So is that 14 days without spending a penny? Something that will appeal to you (and me now) is that I might have the opportunity to scrounge for free, an mtb that has a rohloff 14 speed hub fitted. A chance for me to start accumulating parts for a mid drive build. ;)

I think that I might well have to investigate the chance of getting one to review. :) I can see the place for fast lightweight ebikes for cross town riding that sacrifice battery range in favour of weight, but I would also expect them to be able to complete a ride such as this short 18 mile one...

I suspect that someone had confused final drive gearing with that of programming the wheel size/calibration in. :)

If that were the case, then you wouldn't be able to run a rear cassette. You can run whatever sprocket sizes that you choose, front or rear.

Thanks flecc I already knew that, but was just wondering how it was to be considered good value, without knowing the price, or where it was being purchased. :)

How much are they, and where from?

footpump, don't forget that final drive gearing has a major part in a bikes hill climbing ability. With the correct gearing, I'm sure that your bike would climb equally as well, if you approached using a slow but consistent pace.
