    Battery pack repair

Ok, here is the values from celllog: BMS stopped charging since few days. I plugged the charger in for 24h, and didn't see any difference. Then disconnected the charger for 18h to see if there is any auto-bleeding... nothing. Charging is stopped and bleeding is not happening. Resistors are...

Back to track, complete brompton maintenance

I could get a new frame, but this is the second I broke. I think the weight and vibrations tends to crack the plastic. It needs some sort of stronger encasing, especially when it's a bit loose. Hopefully epoxy should make it for now... maybe buy another one and add some aluminium sheet to...

Back to track, complete brompton maintenance

My front bag frame has been weakened due to the bag weight. It has cracks on the plastic now: The bag wobble around when moving the handlebar left to right: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7F-Dsv5c5xM&feature=youtu.be I'm thinking to completely glue the frame to the front carrier bloc. Because...

    Cycling under the rain

2 weeks ago, I wanted to go back home around midnight after a drink in a pub. I waited 2 hours to see if rain would stop... It didn't. I decided to go back home cycling under the rain. Hopefully I did that because when I woke up at 10am it was still raining!! So no, it doesn't work in paris ;)

How can the 2.1kg cute 100 be too heavy? At best you'll loose 0.9kg if you get the lightest goldant motor.

I can't see any resistor on top of the cells: Here is the other side of the bms: I think the resistors are the ones written 390?

    Kettle-plug power connector alternatives?

For 10A current, a good foolproof one is the EC2 connectors: EC2 Female & Male (5pcs/bag) (UK Warehouse) They are small, with strong connection and last long time. The only issue is that you need to solder them. I would prefer crimping but I haven't found reliable crimping connectors (anderson...

    Cheap Brompton Conversion Kit?

Rather than having a custom front fork, you better extend the rear dropout to put a strong motor in it. Your bike will still fold, and climb any hill. And you won't fear breaking your forks. Weight will also be better distributed with batteries on the front. This is my brompton with an 8T...

    Battery pack repair

I tried a bulk charge with the bms plugged in... Charge stopped when 1 cell reached 4.2V. Cells are ranged between 4.13 and 4.2V. But I didn't feel any heat on the resistors....... I think it's not auto-bleeding?

    Battery pack repair

Ok I'm going to charge it full and see if resistors get hots so I know if it's bleeding or not: I would prefer to send her a working battery rather than going back and forth to fix it.

She also told me initially she was able to do 25km with 1 charge. And now she can only do 5km. So it was balanced initially right?

    Battery pack repair

But how do you know it's not a bms issue? Bms should start bleeding as soon as 1 cell reach 4.2V right?
