How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

Nipple rub and cycling. Not very nice is it! I had a brilliant afternoon riding along some very technical, wet and extremely muddy sections, then heading along a main road that linked two sections together, I rode through a puddle, but unbeknown to me, the road below the puddle had collapsed...

    Bosch eBike Top Trumps..

Thanks Rob, I'm not really sure how fast that it was. The other lad is always faster though, as I'm too conscious that deer often jump out from the side of the track. I took another Intuvia photo today.

    Bosch eBike Top Trumps..

Thanks for the heads up Martin, but I have already seen it. I just wasn't sure of the launch date.:) A far more practical solution. :)

    Suitability

Whilst a larger wheel size would obviously be preferable, I can't really see that for riding along an old railway line route, that a 20" wheel size is going to give you much a problem, for the presumed relaxed and steady leisure riding that you are doing. Our local disused railway routes have...

    Bosch eBike Top Trumps..

Other than battery level, I don't personally think that anything else is needed. My perfect display would just give power settings, battery level, and be the size of an old Casio digital wrist watch. By comparison to your old unit, this is the current Panasonic display, as fitted to my e-Race...

    Kalkhoff vs KTM

I'm actually a bit disappointed about the above. I've not had anything to do with the company, but because of their internet and YouTube presence, I've privately recommend several potential sales in their direction. I don't like giving people a bum steer. :(

    Kalkhoff vs KTM

You will enjoy KTM ownership then. ;) Any other examples to back up the "they" comment? Firstly the front chainset is knackered and well past it's sell by date, and secondly, that damage has 100% been caused by rider abuse. I'd happily call the owner/rider a liar, if they are claiming...

Hi - from new electric peddler from Kent

Hi David, I certainly can't argue with it being mild, you did well to get out though, as I don't think that we had a day without rain in not so sunny Sussex. :(

    Hi there. Lee from Brighton.

SRS is in Brighton, and I'm only 25 miles away. :) The 3D printer sounds very intriguing. Sadly my brain doesn't function to well with digital art, and transferring a digital format into 3D, is way beyond anything that I could begin to grasp. Up until I recently folded my business, I worked...

    Hi there. Lee from Brighton.

Nah, we just buy her clothes to grow into. It leaves me with more money to spend on bikes. :) But on the subject of cutting things off... Her mum also knows not to argue!!! :D Sorry Lee. This was actually made for Halloween a few years ago, but I don't tell her that. ;) edit.. I...

If I can happily ride the mountain trails of the Bernese Oberland using a Bosch Performance line motor which puts out 60Nm, then I really doubt that anyone needs more than what the Yamaha is putting out. Depending upon how the torque is delivered, I'd even go as far as to say that more torque...

    650b+ tyres on a 650b rim??

I totally agree with that, and would happily reduce my current 2.25 tyre size if riding in mud only. In fact having cyclo cross tyres on my Haibike Cross worked really well, and from looking at all of the cyclo cross tyre marks last weekend, they actually get around very well when the going...

Here we go off topic.. Have you come across this company before? https://www.facebook.com/evmadrid1 Not something that I begin to claim to have the first bit of knowledge about, but to me as an uneducated person, their work always looks very neat and tidy.

Loads of them do. In fact, probably every model that is fitted with the Yamaha motor. If it were a choice of Haibike or BH. I'd take the Haibike any day of the week. Reported software issues with Brose motors*, and from my experience very poor UK support, would and has put me off ever wanting...

    650b+ tyres on a 650b rim??

I'd sooner drop tyre pressures before changing tyres and certainly wouldn't be looking at going up in size, especially given the fact that you risk clogging up the seat and chain stays at the first hint of proper mud, along with soon to follow locked wheels.

    Grandma sucking eggs

I had one fall from the BH onto a chalk and flint bridleway. I must have been traveling close to 25mph plus, but fortunately there wasn't even a scratch mark on it. As you say, it is very easily done. Another thing to add in relation to this, is never leave the key at home either. There will...
