How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

No fun when it's like that. :( I had similar tonight in several places, but thankfully the tracks were four or five times wider, which helped greatly. It actually turned out to a reasonable ride in the end. My regular ride partner phoned to ask if I was going out, and that was the push that I...

How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

Must admit that I'm sitting here trying to physic myself up for going out tonight. The thought of all that mud, and now howling strong wind as well, currently isn't very inspiring. It doesn't sound overly pleasant out there. I do want to keep putting in the miles though, so I guess that a wet...

    Four miles of sunshine

Many thanks for the enjoyable read, and how very different that your riding experience is to my off road winter night riding, where mud and water seem to reign supreme, and any human contact is usually of the kind best avoided.

    Pump fell off my bike

I have a couple of pairs of latex gloves squeezed in there. Not that I have used them, as I always forget about them until it's too late. o_O Between the kinder case and the pump, is an inner tube, which is placed inside of a sunglasses bag. I only mention it, as the bags are another Ebay...

    Pump fell off my bike

Of no help to you, but mine sits inside the outer pocket of my Camelbak, and secured with Velcro.

How on earth does he get away with this?

Not me. I love electric motorcycles, but that would be a forum deviation not in keeping with the philosophy of the site. Fine as a passing topic such as this, but not beyond that. Other than intentionally alienating e-bikes even further from mainstream pedal cyclists, what is the point in that?

How on earth does he get away with this?

. craiggor, is that the poor mans version of Lee Pierce's Volz eTrail. http://voltz-bikes.com/bike/ A bike that I believe Lee designed and built, after being so pissed off with build quality and reliability of his own Stealth Bomber. Sorry to go off topic. Motorcycles, or more...

How on earth does he get away with this?

I quite often see a lad around here on a Stealth. He commute's to work on it, and has done for a couple of years. Being fair to him, he rides very responsibly, and I've yet to see him not pedalling, even if it is just going through the motions. He rides in all weather conditions, and I often...

How on earth does he get away with this?

Thank you turbo911, another couple of hours and I will be out riding. Legally as well. ☺

How on earth does he get away with this?

turbo911, did you actually read what flecc has just written? Just to try to help it sink in, here it is again. "a pedelec is limited to a 250 watts rating. Anything above that is classified as a moped or motorcycle, regardless of whether it has pedals or not". It isn't a case of particular...

    What lights do you use

The cheap Ebay Cree lights aren't any better in that respect. They also don't like prolonged periods of use in rain, and even mud eventually gets behind the lense. I modded the Fenix BT20 this week, and it now runs an eight cell 18650 battery pack. Running six cell 18650 battery packs on the...

How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

Sounds a good ride. :) Working out in the fields this morning, the ground began defrost, and soon had me wishing that they weren't. There is nothing worse that having the top defrost, whilst the rest remains frozen. It just becomes one sticky horrid mess. I'm hoping that it is either...

New to the world of Pedelecs

James, you don't have to be stuck with Nyon. If you happen to buy a bike that has it fitted, you can simply slide off the console, and fit an Intuvia display. You don't even have to change the wires if you don't wish to. It just means that the Nyon toggle switch becomes redundant. I'll leave...

901 hours of e-biking over 220 days at an average of 75 kilometres

And in the same news. Longest unsupported e-bike expedition of the world: http://denis-katzer.de/en/ For some reason Tanja and Denis started to follow me on Instagram a while back, and keeping a track on their progress by return has been very interesting. .

How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

Seem to be on a bit of a roll this year. Another night ride out of the way, and the next one already planned for Friday. :) Deep mud had turned frozen solid, and the seemingly endless frozen horse hoof impressions, made for some very wrist aching, wash board effect riding. Add endless frozen...

So no problem then. :) Or you could just spend a fiver on a new battery. ;) .
