    International travelling with ebike

Hello there, Have any of you done that? Last time I took the eurostar with my bike and I didn't have problem with my 36V10AH battery pack. But has that ever happened? I've read that it's not possible to bring lithium batteries anymore on the plane. So train only for international...

ebike battery for headlights/tail, charging phone, rear camera, etc.

I've used a 72V to 12V DC-DC converter: http://www.pedelecs.co.uk/forum/electric-bicycles/11593-how-connect-dc-dc-converter.html The probblem you're going to have is that to charge your iphone you need 5V supply, but for other things such as light it would be around 8V or 12V. I'm just using a...

That seems to be a nice kit Hansen. How is it to deal with aliexpress? I was always wondering if we could trust these seller. Until now, ebay was my favorite place because of paypal and the review process. Do you have nice experience with them? It also seems that the hidden brake may be...

Nice work. I like the pictures. So much better to see the bikes you're selling. This little dahon speed (aka dahon bullet) seems nice. How come there's no price on your bikes?

Brompton M2L-X (Titanium) - Super Lightweight Pedelec Conversion

Thanks Jerry :) Have you thought of the hidden brake sensor? HWBS - Hidden Wire Brake Sensor 1pcs - BMSBATTERY It's probably less DIY and a bit more bulky but much simpler and able to fit to any brake?

    Best Folding E Bike

For me, the best folding bike is the one I can: - Bring to the grocery shop anytime when I want to - Bring inside the bus or tube when the weather is too bad for cycling - Hide under the restaurant table when I'm with my friends - And still nice to ride :) For now, only the brompton is...

    600W power supply installation

Just cutting some holes on the cardboard box for now for aeration. I'm planning to get a bigger container (plastic box) to hold my hyperion and PSU together. That would be much more secure, ventilated and easy to carry. My next step would be to find a box like this to put both the power supply...

Brompton build with torque in mind

Hello John, thanks again for this proposition. I'll try to sort it in a welding shop, it should be fine when they'll see the great work you've done. You made the impossible possible :)

    600W power supply installation

Hehe, I consider this is a yes then. I tried to charge my lipo with this charger and my hyperion, it charges way faster than my actual 150W power supply :) Quite happy for now. I will probably add another layer of isolation on top of the cable later on. Extra safety never harm

Brompton build with torque in mind

Hello there, Here is another electric brompton build, as it seems that everyone on this forum is trying to do that too. My actual brompton is super nice but I need a spare bike because I know I'll one day have problem with the bike and I don't want to wait weeks before I get my bike fixed...

    600W power supply installation

    4. Then I covered everything with insulation tape to make sure I'm not going to touch that: 5. And the power supply is wrapped itself into a box: Should be quite safe now. My next step is to find a bigger box to put both the hyperion charger and power supply into the same place :)...

    600W power supply installation

Following your advice, I did everything possible to make it as safe as possible :) 1. Wires are soldered with ring terminals: 2. Then the terminal is wrapped with insulation tape (terminal on the left) and with a glued heat shrink on complement: 3. Here is what it look like connected to the...

    600W power supply installation

Found the box finally: - So the wires are double shrink wrapped and I'm going to buy ring terminal tomorrow to make sure they won't pull out. - The ground pin is connected - All the wire area is wrapped with 10 layer of insulation tape - And the whole power supply is wrapped inside a carton...

    600W power supply installation

Ok, I suppose my actual solution isn't strong enough: I'm going tomorrow to Maplin to get some ring terminal and see how I can insulate the metal screw without the plastic cover.
