    E-Ram

For sure, but one aspect that they have honed in on is weight. If their basis is 13kg for the bike, plus 2.609kg for the motor excluding ancillaries and frame mounted battery, then adding that little lot up over and above, you could perhaps end up matching the weight of some current e-mtb's...

Bafang wins at the 24 hour E-Bike race at the Nurburgring

That has certainly become a bit of a standing joke. :D It kind of reminds me of being a world champion in your own lunch break. Another more meaningful World Championships below. Oxygen didn't make this one either. KTM came third though. http://singletrackworld.com/2015/06/e-bike-worlds/...

The Haibike sDuro AllMtn RX? any owners?

Is that a rear shock lock out system? I was looking round a BMC a couple of weeks ago that had dual lock out. I've never locked either end of my bike out, so it would a wasted feature for me. Bit surprised that with all that, that they haven't also opted for a dropper seat post.

How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

The total mileage of my Swiss trip was roughly 200 miles. I lost some ride data, so have to guess it. In that time, I got through nearly two sets of brake pads and the best part of one rear tyre. Some of the descents were over nine miles long, and because of my possible elbow fracture, I also...

How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

Certainly a creditable climb. :) I ditched Nyon a long time ago from my bike. I found it just too big and bulky for mtb use. I've just begun the long process of sorting out and listing my holiday rides. These two had the highest elevation gain. https://www.strava.com/activities/352218974...

    Nostalgic garage smell

I know exactly what you mean by the smell, and despite being a mere 49yrs old easily recollect it, plus that of Castrol R or R40. Now there is a smell that is never to be forgotten. A friend of mine recently bought a new in box, 1950's compression tester via Ebay America. That box has exactly...

How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

Just two shots from yesterday evenings chilled out, summer evening ride. Followed up by a few beers. https://www.strava.com/activities/358984854 It would be interesting to see a few more Strava activities from forum users. .

Haibike Xduro 2014 Bosch drive chain length query

If you still have no luck, this might help.

    Bosch charger - plug fuse

I have two chargers, one with the euro plug and adapter and one with a UK plug fitted. Both supplied with KTM bikes. Both chargers read 1.5A and output 36V 4A Oddly with one of the chargers, the battery charging lights never go out, and with the other they do. Not sure which way around that it...

    E-Ram

A 2.609kg weight saving on the motor, over that of the current Bosch Performance line is good, but sod riding around with potentially 4kg of battery pack in a rucksack, along with the massive inconvenience of having a cable that could and will get caught up on something.

My custom ride, my first e-bike ...

Not my kind of thing, but I still admire and love that there are people out there making bikes like this. :) It looks as though a lot of hours must have gone into making it, and certainly appears to be a quality build. Looking forward to seeing the Mk2 version with pillion seat. .

advise on mid drive full suss mountain bike.

Rob, there were plenty of Trek fs mtb's out in Switzerland.A fact that was probably helped by having two local dealers, but they certainly looked very good spec and finish. If BMC ever decide to make one, I would suspect the balance would swing.

How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

Back to riding every other evening and weekends again, and it feels pretty dull after the Swiss Alps. Initially I wasn't so sure about riding on the hard parked road stone trails of the alps, with the loose top surface feeling like riding on marbles. I must have adjusted to it though, as the...

advise on mid drive full suss mountain bike.

Leaving countless other superb makes of full suspension aside, I'd really hate to think that I have spent the last year riding around in conditions that most will never encounter on a bike which isn't a real FS mtb. Also from your statement, it sounds as though I totally chose the wrong bike to...

    Buying a ebike part 2

Seems a shame that this thread couldn't have just stuck with being a review about the bike, instead of judging where it was purchased and for how much. Glad that you are enjoying the bike Vennwood, and thanks for the review. :)

    Bosch range indication

Same as that. If I did take notice of it, I wouldn't make it to the end of the road. As far as possible I generally tend to look at my planned route, accounting for terrain, then use the power settings accordingly to complete the ride.

So I went to a trail centre...

Ferdinand, for several years, I've been carrying and using a Topeak Mountain Morph pump. It's proved to have been a very good purchase. :)

    Helmet camera recommendations please

Sadly I managed to delete all of the holiday ride footage that I took, which was annoying, as I'd intentionally filmed some of the steep climbs. I just about had time before coming home, to nip back out and film a slowish 5 mile road descent. It's dull and uninteresting, the Suzuki Jeep slowed...

How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

I've only been back a couple of days, and it's already back to the usual muddy night rides! I would have preferred some dry rides first. 5 miles of steady down hill road riding. Helmet camera recommendations please .
