How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

Two bikes prepped to perfection, and all set for the trip to Switzerland tomorrow morning. Sadly only one loaded and going though. :( I twisted my knee again just getting out of the car, and driving is now going to be bad enough, and riding the pedal mtb is just too much of an uncertainty...

Very nice indeed. :0 Anyone want a 'slightly' used Macina Lycan. ;)

    Giving a little back

As some of you know, I'm off to Switzerland in a few days time, and the trip is going to be made all the more special for me, for several reasons. Firstly I'll be spending time with my family, secondly I am taking both KTM's with me, just hoping that a new brake set up arrives in time, and...

Thanks for sharing. :) Certainly lovely dry conditions.

    HEAD PROTECTION

Definitely. :) It wasn't until cleaning the debris out from the helmet yesterday, that I also realised that it now has an inch long crease in it. I don't even want to think about that one. The glasses have given me a black eye, but again, looking at the scratches on the both lenses, I reckon...

    So I bought one...

That's sounds pretty identical in every respect to my riding and performance figures. I can also sympathies with that one. Not knowing your fitness level, it is something that you should overcome, but it certainly makes riding a pedal mtb a pleasure. I'd say that most of those with an...

No idea, I haven't made any yet. :)

    So I bought one...

Thanks for an entertaining first ride review, and also for making my day with post 11 :D If you haven't already seen the thread, get your self across to this thread and start posting some photos. :) http://www.pedelecs.co.uk/forum/threads/how-many-people-are-using-there-e-bike-off-road.15780/...

Bosch Performance - Cleaning & Protection

The standard Bosch covers are pretty naff for off road use. You can buy the flat piece that you are talking about separately, but it isn't worth bothering with. I've got through several now. Better to just cut out your own from a stiff plastic, or better still and if looks don't matter, resin...

    Bafang central motor kit

Ref chain jumping.. Put a rear mech on the bike that uses a clutch. From my experience (Bosch motor), with the clutch engaged, the chain won't jump off the front sprocket. Without the clutch engaged, it's a given certainty that it will off before reaching the bottom of a bumpy descent.

    Oxydrive kits

For neatness, I'd be having the throttle wire exiting under the gear change/brake leaver assembly not over, and would probably use something like this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/321636890637?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&var=510530734302&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT to mount the display console...

    HEAD PROTECTION

I've just pulled the debris out from between the outer shell and the foam liner, and what I hadn't spotted, was the outer shell now has quite a crease in it from where I must have hit a stone. Time for a new helmet. The sixsixone, has been a very good helmet in many respects, and certainly...

How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

My one fear is cracking teeth. I really hate thought of that one. Thankfully I only have cuts in my mouth from where I bit into my lip. I couldn't resist a little ride on a mates Yeti demo bike while I was in shop earlier. Damn that was a nice bike, but at 6K so it should be. .

How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

I I would have. The front wheel is being trued back up this morning, but I need to get a new rear brake reservoir ordered up, so riding is sadly out.

How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

It is a tricky one. The biggest down side as I see it, is that taking yesterdays fall as a classic example, it certainly saved me from receiving a nasty blow to my forehead, but at the same time, it really wrenched my head backwards and has jarred my neck.

    HEAD PROTECTION

I've always worn one, and this evening proved the point of wearing one. http://www.pedelecs.co.uk/forum/threads/how-many-people-are-using-there-e-bike-off-road.15780/page-34#post-268724 I was also wearing a new set of safety glasses, which were scrapped to hell. That could have been my...

How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

Face planted the ground at about 25mph. I was also wearing new set of safety glasses. Just as well, as the lens is scratched right up. I know have a bit of a black eye, bruised hip, other cuts and grazes, black toe which had to x-rayed, and an elbow which had the same treatment, and needs a...
