So I went to a trail centre...

It's definitely worth adding a spare master link for the chain to this list, and also a chain splitter if your multi tool doesn't already have it. Whilst you are doubting your mechanical abilities, both could be handy if someone stops to help you. Just thinking aloud. Take a look at your local...

How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

William, I've also been thinking of doing Purbeck, but right at this moment a round trip of some 280 miles in my bloody great van has been holding me back. I'll probably still end up doing it though, and I'm definitely going to do the Fallen Leaves. I did the summer event there, and it has some...

    KTM Corner

Hi TK. Tyres is an interesting one. Everyone is going to have their preferences to that one, and I think that there are also two other very important factors. The first is very much a mental one. If you believe that X tyre is better than Z, then the chances are that you are going to ride...

Hi TK, what else have you got on the list, or more importantly, what do you carry in the way of spares? :)

2015 KTM Ventura Cross 9 (Shimano Steps) images released

I have a friend who is an avid road bike ride, and rides between 30-40miles each day before he starts work, but has recently had an accident, and is now looking for an e-bike to help maintain his fitness level. Up until this point, I have been unable to think of a suitable bike for him, as he...

How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

Hi William, The front sprocket has 15 teeth. The cassette is 11-36 ten speed. I'd be interested to hear what your bike is currently fitted with. Ref the grassy climb. Although I was in eco climbing it, I was also in the lowest gear. On a climb Iike that, I would imagine that there would have...

    Police crackdown on illegal e-bikes

Not sure if this will make sense but here goes. Earwig, from my experience, a pedelec gives you an average of a two gear advantage over a regular pedal bike. When the speed reaches it's cut off point, you as the rider, are then left to compensate for that advantage previously given up to the...

How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

Thankfully I believe the days of owning an unreliable bike (the BH) are now over. :) My ride today was a bit of a challenge to myself in respect of the battery. Some of the rides can be up to 50 miles, and I wanted to see how I would have to pace myself. A couple of the hills were still hard...

How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

Right, sitting here with a glass of St Austell Tribute to finish of the day, here a brief insight into today's e-mtb ride. The day started at a not too early 7.30am, and almost empty car park. That seems the norm for Evans rides, but the Wiggle events are pretty much rammed solid by that time...

    need help

I can't imagine that the gears would have anything to do with the issue. When you say that you fell off riding through a ford. Did the motor and battery end up in the water as well?

    need help

In relation to the motor, have a check to that you haven't knocked/moved the sensor magnet from the spokes. It can move quite easily if you take a tumble. Hopefully it is as simple as that. :) PDF showing the correct position...

How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

Sounds good William. :) Main thing is not to forget your helmet. You won't be able to ride if you don't have it. :) It would be good to meet you and chat about future rides etc as well. :) I'll PM you my number. :) I would imagine that you might well be there bit before me, but not by much. :)

How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

Not many hours to go until the next organised ride. :) http://www.evanscycles.com/pages/rideit-biggin-hill-mtb-ride-1st-november-2014 I'm down for riding the long route, and whilst I don't think the terrain is going to be particularly exciting or taxing, it should still prove to be a fun ride...

Speed limit on high end e-bikes

Rob, you would have to be a very clever person to fit a tuning dongle to an e race P. ;)

Speed limit on high end e-bikes

I guess that it larger depends upon what you want from a bike. From my point of view, I think the opposite and by spending more, I'm gaining, rather than loosing. To my mind, buying a cheap low end spec bike, would more than likely limit my riding experience, and potentially leave me stranded...

    KTM Corner

Posted for no other reason than I think that it looks stunning! :) My intended mods and changes are complete. It says something about a bike, when I can't find anything to add or change. :) So all done and dusted, with just the addition of the Mucky Nutz bendy fender and a change to winter...
