Kinnivie, do you have any uirther info about the bike. I assume that it is a work in progress rather than the finished article.

    Overnight Stop

You could drive an extra half hour, take part in this event that is based from a camping site, then spend time exploring the area. http://www.ukcyclingevents.co.uk/events/wiggle-purbeck-hill-a-saurus-mtb/

How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

The bike has a clutch mech, which I use all of the time. The only time that I disengage it, is when I remove the rear wheel. I'll probably be swapping out from a 15 tooth to a 17 at some stage, so that and being consciously aware of the potential problem and what to now do about, should help...

How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

TK, as usual a superb and thrilling write up with graphic detail that made me smile all of the way through, especially the chain incident.:D Reading your ride report has been a good end to the day. Thanks for sharing. :)

How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

Sorry TK, you posted just as I was writing this, so I'll have to go back and read through your lovely looking post, before commenting. :) It was a very tough hard 32mile ride today. It rained for some of the ride, was, very muddy, and very windy. This was a hard one today. I did treat myself...

Retro Fitting Bosch Nyon eBike LCD Display

Mine looked like this after just doing the 32 mile ride last weekend, and it wasn't really even that muddy of a ride. I've ordered/bought one of these to care for the unit when not using the bike, http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/271654255908?_trksid=p2060778.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT...

    I want one

I'll pop out to Switzerland to bring it back for you. Of course it would only be reasonable that it would require a two week all expenses paid trip, along with plenty of test riding carried out, just in case. I can always dream as well.

Are lightweight, short range e-bikes the answer

But then you will be back up to weight again. :) If the brief is a ten mile battery range, then taking a good quality lightweight road bike to begin with which already has ballistic speed on all but the nastiest of hills, I can't see the need for a second battery. Ten miles is a heck of a lot...

2014/2015 KTM Macina Lycan gps +

I couldn't agree more. Odd why people get hung up on power and speed. Duration/range is far more important to me, and it can be quite a challenge to get it right. :)

    Youtube and E-mtb's

Irrelevant of bike make, hopefully a thread like this will help to demonstrate what e-mtb's are about, what can be achieved in the right hands (and lots of takes) and hopefully inspire others into buying one, and getting out there enjoying what is after all a great sport and pastime.

Hi Rob, Good obs with that one. I'm currently in the lucky position of having the use of two batteries. :)

2014/2015 KTM Macina Lycan gps +

OMG, many thanks for sharing, the bike looks lovely. :) Please feel free to add further details and photos. I've so far only managed to put about 50miles under the belt with my own, but I truly can't get enough of it, and it's very frustrating that work has side tracked my riding. :(

There really are not that many

Rob, there are other makes of tyres out there besides Schwalbe. :) Given that 650b hasn't been mainstream very long, it can't be of any surprise that there are more offerings in the 26" category, but you are incorrect to say that there isn't much choice, as there is already significant choice.

I like the Intuvia display, but it could still be half the size of even that.

    Youtube and E-mtb's

How about an e-mtb YouTube thread. Your starter... This clip is a new one to me. :) The making of the film is also on there to watch. :)

Retro Fitting Bosch Nyon eBike LCD Display

I still think that Bosch have cocked up big time by not offering a dedicated e-mtb display console. E-mtb's only need battery and power settings, both of which could easily be installed into a sensibly sized 50mm x 40mm display.

    KTM Corner

I've had many a wet walk along the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal. :D The new tyres are brilliant in mud. They dig in deep and don't let go. Please don't get anything that aggressive for your bike though. If you do decide that you want to change, think about Shwalabe Rocket Rons or Panaracer...

    KTM Corner

I think that you should just stick with the Racing Ralphs. They will be fine for everything that you want to do, and probably make for a safer road tyre as well. :) One of the KTM riders was using them last Saturday, and he stayed upright without too much problem. If you fancy a ride when the...

How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

It would certainly be a stunning area to explore. I had thought of making it a family weekend, but my better half has to work. The Camber Evo certainly looks a very nice bike. :)
