How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

Another ride up on the South Downs. :) Some steeper climbs on this one, also some very rutted tracks.

How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

I have a neighbour that wants to try out an e-bike, and even possibly buy my Haibike, so I thought that I'd take it for a spin this evening to work out a mixed route to take him on. As much as I feel that Haibikes aren't for me, I have to say that each time that I've taken this bike off road, it...

Thanks Dave, it looked a lovely place to take a walk. :)

How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

Hi Dave, I have a sister who lives at Malpas, and after seeing your photos, I quite fancy popping along to visit that area of the coast when I'm next down that way. I don't suppose that you could post up a map link for the spot? :)

    Cube or Cube

Brilliant. Good luck with it. :) Be sure to post up some photos when you get it. :)

    Cube or Cube

For some reason I wasn't expecting the bike to look as nice as that. :) I can't answer your question, but I'm sure that you won't be disappointed. :)

How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

Stan, a gentle ride on the Downs in like minded good company, sounds a superb way to spend some time. :) I have no idea what this area of the North Downs is like, but I booked in to do the next Wiggle ride here. http://www.pedelecs.co.uk/forum/threads/wiggle-ups-and-downs-april-26th-2014.17387/...

Haibike Xduro Trekking SL 2013 Review

Just looked, and the side of the motor has a plate stating 250% assist. :) Ref the Conway E-Rider. That has long been my favourite E-MTB. :) If only my pockets were deep enough. Whatever my opinion of the Bosch motor, it still certainly isn't a slouch. The below was last week, and was a 'go...

Haibike Xduro Trekking SL 2013 Review

Oddly I mentioned the BH power to Rob a couple of days ago. I'm not convinced that the bike is putting out the correct power. I've never noticed any difference in power modes, and just leave it in ECO. It seems to go just too well! The shop where I bought it from have just invested a hell of a...

How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

berkobennie thanks for sharing that ride. If only it had been as clear as that when I rode it. That's quite a trip that you made to do the ride, and the photos are stunning. I can see a Jolly Boy's outing being arranged in the future. :) A ride on the Downs, intermixed with a beverage/food...

Haibike Xduro Trekking SL 2013 Review

Hi Rob, being thick here, I don't know. :( The full spec for the bike can be found here though. http://www.haibike.de/produkte_detail_en,,13084,detail.html I also perhaps haven't worded my first post too well, as my statement is being taken from my use of both bikes, and it could be just that...

Haibike Xduro Trekking SL 2013 Review

I agree with Dave. Owning both a BH NEO Xtrem and Haibike xduro Cross, on the 'road' hills that I climb, the BH trounces the Bosch motor that's fitted to my Haibike. I don't currently have the results to hand, but by using Strava on set routes, the BH is both faster at hill climbing, and is...

How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

You can't go around saying things like that! :D It did get a little bit dirty, but predominantly it was cow and sheep poo.:( I've already cleaned it right up again, ready for it's next outing. I must admit that the frame is starting to look pretty tired now. I'm not that worried about that...

How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

I parked at Rodmell this morning and headed up on along the South Downs way towards Keymer, but cut the ride short as I spent the night being ill, and then was hit again on the ride with sickness. I ended up turning back via woodingdean and Tilscombe. I guess that 16miles was better than none...

    KTM e style P

1boris, I'm hoping to appraise an KTM eRace P sometime in the near future. I'll be able to compare it to my NEO Xtrem which should in the scheme of things be roughly comparable to your Cross. I'll let you know my findings. I can say without hesitation though, that my Xtrem climbs hill more...

Wiggle Ups and Downs April 26th 2014

Hi Backin5 It wasn't until I switched to the wider bars, that I realised just how narrow and useless that the original bars are. The biggest different though is one that you won't want to hear, and that is binning the original front forks in favour of the Rockshox Reba's. That change still...

Wiggle Ups and Downs April 26th 2014

Hi Andrew, From what I have been told, and as far as I'm aware, I'm possibly the only person riding at these events on an e-mtb. At the last event, which was also my first, I couldn't have been made to feel more welcome. I did intentionally try not to raise attention to myself though by just...

    My new top speed.

I tried on the Haibike, with it's 700c wheels etc and only managed 1mph faster than on the BH Xtrem with it's 26" wheels, knobbly tyres and on a wet road. :( I can see that this is going to be tough.

Wiggle Ups and Downs April 26th 2014

Not long to go until the next Wiggle ride, and with spaces still available, there is still time for other e-mtb owners to get off their backsides and enter. ;) http://www.wiggle.co.uk/wiggle-super-series-wiggle-ups-downs-mtb-std-2014/

2014 KTM Macina Lycan details released......

Strange how we all see things differently. I don't see it like that at all, and love the 'gull arm' look. I would imagine that both bikes are good, but without question, the KTM gets my vote. :) It looks more durable and built to last. I got to stop looking at this thread! :D I'm still a hub...
