    Hi....in need of KTM advice....

Ref knobblies, you would be suprised at what you can get away with on the KTM's OE schwalbe marathon plus tyres. They are actually pretty good considering that they aren't off road biased. On the Haibike Cross, I run a Marathon plus on the rear and a Shwalbe cyclo tyre on the front. The cyclo...

    Hi....in need of KTM advice....

Chris, I can only go by my albeit short time with an e-cross P, but that time was enough for me to reach the conclusion that KTM make a very good quality bike, and the Panasonic drive is both a superb climber and offers superb range. A KTM is at the top of my wish list now. This will give a...

    Cycle Paths

My eyes lit up at the place name Whitstable. A friend was only telling me just last week about the brilliant sea food restaurants in the area. Boy do I have a passion for sea food. That ride is now firmly on the list of rides to complete asap.

    Magnesium wheels and motor

Unless you can have them regularly crack tested, I wouldn't even think about using magnesium wheels for road use. They are susceptible to crack in road use, and any exposed magnesium will quickly deteriorate. I used to quite regularly see magnesium wheels that had hairline cracks when I was...

Does anyone do off road night riding?

I rather like the sound of that. Now that would be stealth riding. :) Not sure what the MOD might say or do if I was ever caught taking a short cut across their ground. :D Ideal for the local forest rides though.

    Bosch bearings

Phill, you have to be very careful when spraying lubricant such as GT85 near to bearing areas. Whilst you are displacing water, you are also potentially degreasing the bearings. I learnt this a long time ago the hard way. :( Directed at Martin.. As for dealers not repairing the bikes of riders...

How many miles have you done on your Bosch powered bike?

Mine made the 'Bosch Popping' noise after only a very short period. Fixed myself in probably not much more than 10 minutes.

How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

Kuorider, I can safely say forget BH! There are so many other options out there, all with better support and back up. Whilst I'm still having to put up with this piece of rubbish and it's twelve mile range, I went out yesterday evening for a quick spin. Terrain like this, and I managed to hit...

Does anyone do off road night riding?

Somehow my photos using the phone don't look quite the same as the video! :D Taken last night.

    Helmet Lights

I have one of these mounted to my helmet as an emergency back up light. http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/topeak-headlux-helmet-light/rp-prod47006?utm_source=Google&utm_medium=Shopping&utm_name=UnitedKingdom&gs=1&gclid=CNOhma3npMACFW3JtAodwhoAAA&gclsrc=aw.ds Whilst I've not used it yet, it...

    Which bike ahhh? :)

Thanks for that Dave. I actually had an open admission from someone from Maxtrack to say that there is no regen. This was admitted in a face to face conversation that I had when they were selling off their stock of ex demo bikes. I'll leave it there for now to save derailing the thread even...

    Which bike ahhh? :)

of use Forks corroded within months, and BH failed to replace them under warranty. I'm still out of pocket over that one. Various electrical issues, some of which BH have blamed me for. With the exception of one wire, I blame BH for poor assembly of the product to begin with. Especially as...

    Which bike ahhh? :)

Speaking from my own personal experience, I wouldn't touch BH with a barge pole. The Oxygen looks nice Dave, but for me the cable routing is very cluttered looking. The Haibike scores well with that one. Take a better look at the whole KTM range, and if Full suspension isn't a priority, this...

    Panasonic battery compatibility?

It was the chainset cover and battery that I don't like. It makes it into a bike fit for a granny to ride. :( I don't rate Roll Royce either. I'm not into pipe and slippers stuff. ;) Are there any specs for the wheelbase?

    Panasonic battery compatibility?

That has to be the most ugly looking bike ever to have been made. What a waste of a pair of Fox forks and rear shock.

Does anyone do off road night riding?

Some of the cheap Chinese cree are very good. I'm sure that D8veh posted up some details a while back of some recommended ones. The problem for me is that I tend to ride where I shouldn't be on MOD land, so often using a light isn't possible. I just reckon that it adds to the fun, although I...

Is this the best value new bike, release soon?

I know that I have said it before, but I definitely reckon that KTM will be stealing the show from here on in. Their range of bikes is top notch, the frame build quality is second to none, the component quality and spec is very competitive, although I'd personally swap the forks out on the above...

Does anyone do off road night riding?

Riding at night off road is one of my favourite pastimes. :) I'd be lost with my trusty Fenix BT20 though. :)

How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

I bunked off from working at home this afternoon, to see if the BH would actually complete a whole ride without letting me down. Miracle of miracles, it actually made it! Now there's a first, and probably a last! Thankfully things weren't so muddy as the other day. :) Highlight of the ride...

How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

It's supposed to be summer! I got back in from last nights ride at about 10.00pm and had this to deal with. The bike didn't look too great today either. The forest soil must be very corrosive. :(
