Jeremy Clarkson :- hub or crank

Flecc you also forgot to mention that countless Bosch crank drive motors have to be pulled apart to be greased because of poor assembly procedure. Trex should had started with 'in my opinion' then detailed his reasons. He didn't do either. His views certainly don't correspond with my...

How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

TK, yet another superb write up and associated photos. :) Certainly better than my very dull and blustery road ride this evening.

    Anyone been out and about?

Clanky, you need to check out this thread. :) http://www.pedelecs.co.uk/forum/threads/how-many-people-are-using-there-e-bike-off-road.15780/ But for the benefit of this one, amongst the other rides that I have been out riding on a borrowed pedal only mtb, have been these two rather severe...

3 maybe 4 to choose from, experiences and thoughts ?

Best thing.. Buying an e-bike gave me a new interest and opened up my horizons. Worst thing... I went against my instincts and didn't take note of what I had read elsewhere, and went ahead and bought an BH Easy Motion product.

Ebike fast up on Mont Ventoux.

You watched for longer than I managed. I clicked the link, saw how long that is was, and bailed straight off again before the adverts even had time to load.

An offer too good to refuse?

The Bionx bike still looks a nice one to squirrel away. :)

BH Emotion Neo Carbon 3500km update

BH and fork quality.. Now there's a topic without a happy ending.

BH Neo Cross Electric bike Setting

Last time out, 8 miles in ECO mode! I'm hoping that it is a duff charger and not the new battery. Apparently a new charger is on order. Like many others, I have also never experienced any difference between the power settings. I've now completely given up on BH ever fixing that issue. The power...

    Bike for long fastish commute

Michael, to further back up what Col has said, take a look at this ride as an example of how mixed terrain averages out a route, and still gives the kind of performance that you seek. The KTM would do this, without you breaking into too much of a sweat, and would still almost certainly give...

An offer too good to refuse?

I'd have bought it, then started a thread. Just do it.

    Getting Specialized Turbo in uk

This one is in Interlaken, Switzerland. Possibly a bit too far away. :)

    EUROBIKE show, anyone going?

Annoyingly, I'm driving close to the area this Friday. Talk about bad timing! :(

    Getting Specialized Turbo in uk

I didn't Actually try it, just looked at it and picked it up. It registered on Swiss plates, and ready to go. I'm afraid that other than this one photo, the rest are on my camera.

    Toughest ride of my life

Thanks Tk. Holding the phone on the cross bar in the photo on the bend, I was getting a consistent 30 degree. I guess that most of the route was this. The ride down was sadly spoilt 22yr old V brakes, hikers, and those angled metal grates, which were very slippery on the bikes bald tyres. You...

    Getting Specialized Turbo in uk

I took a good look at a Specialized turbo in a shop today. I'll upload the photos when I get back into the country, but what I will say is that it is stunning and well finished bike, but I was very disappointed with how heavy that it felt when I picked it up. Given the cost, it would have been...

    Toughest ride of my life

I've changed my mind, this has been the toughest ride of my life! Sitting down to pedal and the front was lifting, standing up to pedal the rear just span. This was one tough short ride, that had me trying to spew up:( 1683ft elevation gain over 2.1 miles...

    That's cheating!

I saw a lady using an electric child's buggy today. I should have called her a cheat, and then kept her probable expletives for future use. :)

    What do you think ?

Don't forget that you could be hauling up to 15kg of extra weight when compared to your club bike. And that will be before you have added any shopping. It could be like adding a bag of cement to the club bike.

    Check your bungees

After receiving a black eye from the hook on one, I hate bungees.

    Woosh - more dreadful service

Cyclezee, that would mean that BH should give me enough commission to retire on.
