    Giant and Yamaha

A few nights ago I was reading about Yamaha's mid drive motor, and being a Yamaha race bike fan, I was keen to know a bit more about it, then tonight spotted the video below, but can't see any mention of the bike listed on Giants E-Bike range. Did it not make it to production, or have I somehow...

How long should my ebike chain last?

I'd never given that a second thought until then. I have a mate who has competed a couple of times in the Mega Avalanche race, and now that you say that, I recall watching the races on YouTube and also recall seeing the frequently snapped chains, and thinking that it must be devastating to...

something good to say about BH service :)

The new wheel and motor is in, and it's quieter that the original one was when brand new. This one is just about completely silent :)

How long should my ebike chain last?

I was stunned when a mate told me that when he was cycle road racing, he could cane one in 100miles. 30 miles is scary.:D

How long should my ebike chain last?

Prime example of why a chain should not be covered by warranty.. For my part, wearing the chain out after 500miles isn't any real surprise, and I rightly don't consider them to be anything other than a wear and tear component. Going out and getting the chain into the kind of state below is...

How long should my ebike chain last?

I didn't get much more than 500 miles out the chain on the Xtrem before it had pretty much reached the wear limit,, but resisted changing it for a further 200miles.

something good to say about BH service :)

I spotted tonight that the NEO is now going to be fitted with 12ah batteries in place of the 9ah. Being sarcastic.. The bikes struggle to use an 9ah battery before quitting, so replacing the 9ah for a 12ah is kind of overkill! :D edit.. I have also just looked at the website and it seems okay...

    Possible Haibike purchase.

I have actually asked that this thread be pulled as I don't want my opinion to get in the way of Martins business and hard work that he puts into it. Admin have stated that they would prefer to leave it in place for now. As a business, http://www.e-bikeshop.co.uk/ deserves to prosper given the...

something good to say about BH service :)

I can't argue with the style over content comment. :) I still really love the bike and love riding it, and had I not bought it in the first place, the chances are that I wouldn't have experienced what great fun riding an e-bike is. It's just sad that buyers don't get the aftersales service...

    Cycling under the rain

cwah, could you post up a review once you have tried it out. I'd be interested to know how close that the rear of the cape is to the back tyre.

something good to say about BH service :)

BH have come good for me now to, but not without the help of my dealer. As some of you will know, my motor had become very noisy and two Sundays ago, I gave up with it. BH agreed to rebuild it under warranty, and replaced the bearings, but the motor was apparently still noisy. The dealer told...

GBCS it might be that perhaps they aren't legally allowed to openly display the cost. I have the bike sizes and model range within, and have sent you a pm with all details. :)

Ian, It would be a pleasure to join you for a ride. :) I've been meaning to try the routes in your neck of the woods for ages. I still don't have my motor back yet, and probably in reality it would be too wet and greasy to get up on the Downs, but when the milder weather eventually gets here...

    Possible Haibike purchase.

For those looking for cheap deals, I have just found some more rather competitive prices for 2014 and older models. I've already enquired about UK shipping, and it isn't a problem. http://www.bikeshop2000-shop.de/Fahrrad-ebike/Haibike:::79_236.html Example 2,799.20 euro roughly £2,300.00...

    Possible Haibike purchase.

SRS, Martin has already stated that he works 70plus hours a week, and from his website most models sell out on pre-orders, so our ordering elsewhere is going to have zero impact. Stating that the bikes are already sold out, just makes the choice for shopping elsewhere an easier and better...

Martin, I'd be interested in seeing the comparable torque figures printed up if you have them for both motor configurations. One thing that isn't mentioned about the dongle, but I wondered about. Does it screw up the mileage trip on the bike. I presume that it does?

    Possible Haibike purchase.

It isn't just with bikes either, cycle accessories and cycle clothing are also so much cheaper. As with bikes, swap the Euro for the pound and that is pretty much what you pay. Often even the delivery is cheaper, and for some odd reason faster. Even more extreme is that I buy most of my tools...

    Possible Haibike purchase.

Ciclismo sell them, but they are pretty slow at responding to email, so don't expect an instant response. For some reason I also feel that they could be slow to respond should you buy one and have any warranty issues. http://www.worldbike.it/en/ciclismo/detail/HAIBIKE_XDURO_Race_28“_2014/74264...

Sorry Guys, this new format is not working for Kudos

That statement largely depends upon how you want to live your life. We are a long time dead, and if buying a bike whatever the cost, makes you happy and enables you to get more out of life, then no one has right to judge or pass comment. Enjoy. :)
