    Very lightweight e-bikes

On the e-MTB side of things, I'd opt for the MNL7-26.....XT 30 gears, Rockshox REBA RL forks.....£2260.00. But I don't buy into the low weight of the bikes. A regular MTB must weigh approx 13kg. I assume that the last part of the code refers to the wheel size. A 29 wheel and tyre is going to add...

    Cube hybrid 2014

Out of interest, what does the Kalkoff weigh? I expect that it is somewhere obvious, but I can't find any mention of the bikes weight.

    Seven!!! That's brilliant. :D

    Cube hybrid 2014

I'd start with forks on the KTM that retail at £279.00 non discounted, compared with forks on the Cube that retail at £79.00 then just taking a brief look through the remaining components, the price soon starts to add up. They won't add up to your quoted difference, but it does show that KTM are...

    Cube hybrid 2014

Which model of KTM? Are you also comparing the price on a like for like basis, as in both UK supplied, as the Cube in the original link was from a German discount site.

e-bikeshop open new sales & distribution center in Farnham UK.

Congratulations Martin. It doesn't seem to matter where I look on Google, or what I'm looking at in relation to e-bikes, your name and shop always seems to be way up on the first page. Putting in the all-round effort that you clearly do, the business and yourself deserve to prosper. Have a...

How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

I'm afraid that this photo is possibly the best that I have at the moment. I'll try and take a clearer one over then next day or so. The plastic that I used was given to me by someone that works in a factory. When heated it moulds into whatever shape that you require. I didn't need to do...

    Problems getting Giant Roam ebikes

The Giant Full E and Full +1 look pretty good to me. It is odd though that the two Giant dealers that I'm friendly with don't stock any Giant E-bikes though. Even odder as one them specializes is e-bike sales. I'll have to ask why. Also for a company that can't be bothered, Cube have now had...

How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

The rear mudguard is homemade, using a piece of mouldable plastic. I'm on the MK2 version now, as the first was approx. 25mm too short. It works really well and only uses one bracket for support.

    Tyres

Just out of interest, what bike are the tyres going to be fitted to? When you do finally decide upon a tyre, see if they are cheaper here first. http://www.bike-discount.de/?lg=en&country=226&cr=GBP They often are, and delivery usually takes three days tops. Tyres and tubes, to save you...

Looking for commuter bike for myself and wife

I have nothing useful to add to the thread, other than to say that the Croix de fer is pretty much my all time favourite bike. :)

When I wrote that "I thought are you sure" 1 gramme per ml sounds better. :)

    Tyres

I must be getting a real anorak when it comes to weight and trying to reduce it. They are roughly 580grammes heavier than my Panaracers. :D They do look a good tyre though, and with the Kevlar band should prove durable in respect of punctures. :) Slime if you were to put it in, adds a further...

How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

I finished my chores early today and as it was so nice, it seemed a shame to waste the day. Sadly nothing too extreme though.

    Banbury Frank - deregistered?

I don't think that the adverts make a massive difference to sales, but obviously without them any forum would struggle to survive. I do glance at them, but don't pay them much attention. I do always scan down to dealer promotions though. :) The best way to advertise, is to mention product names...

    Banbury Frank - deregistered?

The sub forums are what you make them. The UK off-road, S Pedelecs & overseas section is only four headings down from the top, so hardly drama to find or use. By keeping said topics in one place, it surely makes more efficient and sensible use of the forum.

    Look what's coming in may.....

I like that alot. :) I never thought that I'd say this, but KTM have produced a bike that has at last caught my eye. First glance at the photo I thought that it looked like a Focus Thron, but a quick look at the Thron, the similarities are aren't really there at all. Ugly and bulky headstock...
