If I pedal it's very easy though.

I've got my 250w 36v bafang set to 20 amps but it would only pull me up a hill slowly in a low gear.

I think most 36v 250w motors would struggle to pull people up any steep hills on throttle alone.

I bought some xt90's but they are a nightmare to unplug, so using some good quality deans atm.

Program cable arrived today, set start current to 20, keep current to 100, and.........amps to 18! No error codes thrown up at all and it rides a LOT better!

yeah you can brick them but people who look after their lipos don't let this happen. I'vegot a lot of lipos and run fast rc cars, never lost a lipo. Chargers are cheap and so are good lipo alarms.

I bought a 250w 36v to dip my toe into ebikes, but that’s either going on my wife’s bike or my haro bmx and I’m going to get a bbshd for my bike, that was the plan I made and don’t regret buying the 250w bafang.

Yeah they are scumbags that won’t respect the vote. My point wasn’t to turn this into a debate about the eu though as there is already a thread for that, I was aiming towards ‘don’t lecture people on the law’

I can't even hear my 250w bafang, like at all, but that tsdz2 sounds loud.

People know about the legalities with the motors that are over 250w, tbh it's a crappy EU ruling that will hopefully be chucked out of the window once we get out of there.

yeah I don't see the point in low assist either, I'm pretty fit and run long distances quite easily, I want the fun part of it!

Throttle seems to give more everything, I haven't been trying to go up steep hills on throttle alone though. This is all via the display, I have ordered a cable, still waiting for it, but will throw up a screen shot of what it looks like as standard before fiddling with it. thanks!

So it assists past15.5mph now, but the throttle seems to give more.
