    SRAM dual drive experience

Has anyone got experience of the 27 gear SRAM dual drive as on Haibike's xDuro trekking? Is this amount of gears required? Are they usable in real day to day riding? Or are they just a marketing gimmick? Are there any independent test write-ups available? Robbie

Thanks, Eddie -- unfortunately the KTM is not an option here in Ireland -- also the dealer I will be dealing with is one whom I have absolute faith in due to gret service experience -- his brands are Haibike, Staiger, Kalkhoff and BH! Cheers!

Staiger SinusBt80 versus Haibike xDuro Trekking??

Folks -- see my post in the "which bike to buy" forum - I'm torn between these two -- anyone got any advice?? Seems that the Haibike is more sporty / agressive and has the dual hub 27 gears and Intuvia, the Bt80 has 10 gears and Nyon and is less sporty etc........ What wisdom has the forum...

Staiger SinusBt80 or Haibike rx Trekking???

Folks -- I am somewhat torn between these two bikes - The Haibike has the Sram dual hub with 27 gears with the Intuvia screen and the other has the 10 gear cassette but has the new Nyon controller. The only other difference I can see is that the Haibike has 20mm bigger discs. As both are a...

    Kalkhoff speed sensor problems

Sounds like the wheel nuts are not properly secured. I have an Impulse ergo and whenever I adjust the wheel I have to adjust the magnet position as the sensor seems really sensitive to the magnet position. It does give the check speed sensor message on every such occasion, but this goes away...

Macina Action 2015: a critical failure in quality control… made worse by crap customer service

My dealer, Greenaer in Dublin, have a very good mechanic who has been on courses for all the bikes they sell - when I had a problem they just take the bike and sort things - when I had a motor problem they just took the bike gave me a loan of their top model and just sorted everything and...

Macina Action 2015: a critical failure in quality control… made worse by crap customer service

Interesting you found a KTM bicycle dealer in Ireland - i live in Co Wexford and I tried to get a KTM in September 2013 and spent some time searching to no avail!! All I could find was a motorbike agent. I then went with Kalkhoff from Greenaer in Dublin, who have been great to deal with. Pity as...

    Best ebike on hills

I am quite happy with the 25kph limit on motor input, but wonder which touring/Treking bike has the best "oomph" up hills. Is it just torque or are other factors in play such as different specs of gears etc. Has the forum answers?? Robbie

    Biking Bollards....

These are great where the carriageway is wide enough for two vehicles to pass each other -- where the road is a bit narrow they are Bl**dy dangerous forcing vehicles to swerve one way and then the other -- bikes in the lane are thus in danger from swerving lorries. I don't think these actually...

    Kalkhoff battery lights fault?

I have a Kalkhoff Impulse ergo and the battery is 6 months old -- from about 6 weeks ago it is now showing reducing capacity almost every time it is charged -- gone from 160Kms available on Eco Mode to 140 to 130 to 120 and now 108. My dealer is now sending it bck for replacement so I reckon...
