    Just returned to cycling !

Hi. Being a brushless motor, you can't power it up directly - it has to be through a controller. I think you would probably damage it by trying. Regards, Mark Here's a reply from D8veh I got a while back regarding a similarly wired motor I have : d8vehPedelecer The three thin wires are for a...

Hi I'm Rob, I live near Stafford in England but I also live part of the year in Lanzarote

Hi Rob, Glad you got the UM going again. I haven't found a plug like that as yet, but will keep looking. Though it just occurred to me - is that the same as the one in your old cyclamatic battery? If so,maybe you could take it out & attach it to the cable from the charger? Just a thought...

Hi Rob. Apologies for the delay in replying but haven't been very well. Glad you got the Cyclamatic sorted, & you're welcome :-) As far as the UM goes, I would be tempted to pull it apart & see if anything can be done, as you have nothing to lose... Good luck if you go for it. Regards, Mark

    Wisper 905se or Momentum upstart

Doing 18 miles a day, any battery should be charged on a daily basis. Over discharging is extremely damaging to a battery. Mark

    Another motor ID query

Thanks for your reply D8veh :) I don't have a spare sensorless controller to test them with at the moment, and havent cut the connector off to look at the colour of the wires. Will it run ok without them being connected, whether they are for either a speed sensor or a temperature sensor ...

    Another motor ID query

That's great info Woosh, thanks again! :) Will look into it more when I have more time. Maybe I'm being dense, but I still don't get how there are only 3 sensor wires, as all hall controllers I have seen seem to have 5/6. I don't have a breakout cable for it at present, btw. Regards, Mark

    Another motor ID query

Hi.Thanks for your reply :-) The link won't work for me and neither will any link direct to syimotor (don't know why) that comes up on Google, but I looked on Aliexpress & it does indeed look like a Shengyi motor, so a good lead. Still baffled by the 3 thin wires to the motor though so if you...

Hi all, Have just come by this motor wheel and a matching front wheel, does anyone know what it is? When I googled the serial number- SY72426PEO276S1- it came up with Xiongda 2 speed, but I am not sure that's what it is as it doesn't seem to match any of the pictures I saw. What baffles me is...
