Looks alright that does..... I've never liked the look of the Suntour NCX and i definitely dont like the price of it..... If i needed a suss seat post, i would give one of these a go for the price.

Its a quality kit and has a good rep on here from those who have it. My current front hub kit was done on the cheap, an 8fun kit that cost £425...... the Oxydrive kit is far better and i think its easily worth the extra money.

Oxydrive do a rear hub motor kit that is compatible with cassette gears, which your Giant Escape has. You can have legal 250W or more powerful 350W...... comes with throttle and you can just not fit the PAS if you prefer. It also has integrated controller, which makes an easier and neater...

Personally, i wouldn't ruin a classic 35 yr old Dawes Galaxy by fitting a kit to it. I would just keep it for those occasions to ride a nice unassisted bike on the flat. You could easily buy a reasonably priced modern bike to convert, or just buy a ready built Ebike.

I have Suntour crank on my Crossfire. When i fitted the PAS i just removed the granny ring (cut it off with a grinder) to fit the magnet disc on the chainring side. Then i removed the front derailleur altogether, as with electric assistance i only ever need the large chainring.

Tube sealer will only stop small punctures. Easiest way to be prepared and have an easy & quick fix of punctures, is to carry a spare tube.
